Friday Favorites from I Am Baker, What’s Gabby Cooking, Inside the Rustic Kitchen and More

Good Friday morning friends! How are you? I hope that you had a fabulous week and stayed cool and safe from the torrential rains. It was beautiful here, cool mornings and then steamy hot days. I spent the week working, running back and forth to check on the progress at the house and setting up appointments for various projects we have coming up. I also spent 2 afternoons at the pool with my niece which was the best part of the week.

I have lots to share with you this week, interesting articles, delicious recipe and more so grab your coffee, cocoa or wine and lets get to it!

Food

Have you ever made homemade pasta? I haven’t but I have pinned this 2 Ingredient Spinach pasta so that once I am in the house I can try to make it!

I love pizza and love trying new recipes. What’s Gabby Cooking posted a scrumptious looking Roman Zucchini pizza this week that I cannot wait to make.

I also cannot wait to make this Lemon Chicken Pasta from The Forked Spoon!

Just in case you missed my post for cheesecake in a jar you can find it here. Or you could make this delicious looking No-bake Blueberry Pie.

Do you like Bounty bars? Chocolate? Ice cream? If you answered yes than you are going to want to make this Bounty Chocolate and Coconut Ice Cream.

Finds

I love Oribe shampoo and use it almost every time I wash my hair. What I do not love is the price. This week I was lucky enough to get some online at TJ Maxx. They also have a great selection of Oribe at Marshalls online too!

When we were originally packing to move I did not pack to live in a hotel. We had reserved one for two months just in case we didn’t have a house, but because we actually had a house to move into I didn’t pack a lot of stuff in my suitcase, in fact I packed 2 outfits and some pajamas just enough until I could unpack the rest of my stuff.  The day before the mover arrived I found out that we were moving into a hotel for an extended period of time, to get all of the popcorn ceilings scraped in the house and much of it painted.  Needless to say I needed a few more things to wear for the next few weeks so off I went to TJ Maxx. If you haven’t been there in awhile run don’t walk over there. Not only do they have beautiful Italian linen shirts and blouse but shorts and pants as well and they were all under $25!

I realize that it is only the middle of July but they also had Halloween and Fall decor! I didn’t get anything but there was a lot of cute stuff and if you are a pumpkin spice fan some great smelling candles! If you cannot find any psi candles at your store you can also order a few from Williams Sonoma.

If you are looking for a great great dress to keep you not only stylish and cool this dress from Target is beautiful and comfortable.

That is it for this week my friends,  I hope that you found something you enjoyed. Please share your favorite recipes, articles, podcasts or anything else that you discovered this week. Have a wonderful and safe weekend.

Hi Elizabeth, Thank you so much for posting the Chanel show! I woke up this morning thinking I should hunt it down, as a friend just sent me the Dior show, and voila, you had already done it for me. I loved the textures and the new easy silhouettes. Amazing fabrics and workmanship Have a great day!

Hello Joyce, I thought the Chanel show was breathtaking. So many beautiful pieces, especially the ones with the flowers and the full flowing skirts.

Hi Elizabeth … I certainly don’t envy you this current limbo situation. Been there done that. But, I know in a short time you’ll barely remember it … or at least what you’ll remember are the parts that make for funny stories. Thanks for the two pasta recipes … I’m printing them right now. So many great reads to go through … and I have one to share. Well, not a read but a podcast. Are you familiar with Decorating Tips & Tricks? It’s really fun and I think you might enjoy it! xo
