Good Friday morning friends! How was your week? It was a beautiful but hot week here. I hate to say this because I know that there are many that love summer but I am already counting the days until Fall! I took my niece to Hobby Lobby this past week and there were aisle filled with Fall and dare I say the start of Christmas stuff? I am looking forward to cooler day and lots of pumpkin stuff.
I have lots of stuff to share this week so grab your coffee, tea, chocolate or wine and lets get to it.
Food
Heirloom tomatoes are one of my all time favorite things to eat in the summer. I add them to sandwiches, salads, eat them plain with salt and now I will be adding this beautiful Heirloom Tomato Tart with Ricotta and Basil to my summer menu.
If you have a plethora of tomatoes you could make pickled cherry tomatoes they are delicious on sandwiches, salads and more.
If you prefer a traditional tomato pie this one looks delicious as does this tomato farro risotto.
Do you like nachos? Me too and after seeing this recipe for foil wrapped grilled black bean and chicken nachos I want to try this weekend.
In case you missed it I made cherry almond scones this week but if you do not have cherries or you do not like them you can easily change the recipe to suit your taste, mixed berries, blueberries, or even make cheddar and chive for a savory twist.

Maine is one of my all time favorite places to visit and now I can add this beautiful Inn to my list of places to stay.
One of the things I am hoping to have made while renovating our house is a banquette or a window seat and Annie at Most Lovely Things has a great tutorial just in case you want to make one at your house too!
Books
Currently reading The House by the Sea.
The One Your With is one my pile to read this weekend.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE cookbooks but often times I get one and realize too late that there are only a couple of recipes that I like or would make. There’s Always Room For Chocolate is not one of those books, this books has so many beautiful and delicious recipes I am thinking of starting from page 1 and baking something every week. If you are a chocolate lover you will love this book.
My friend Kristy Woodson Harvey has not one but two books coming out in the next few months, the first is Christmas in Peachtree Bluff and then in March of 2022 The Wedding Veil you can preorder it here.
Finds
I haven’t been shopping this week so I really do not have any “finds”. I did put together a few things from Norstrom’s Anniversary sale just in case you wanted to shop ahead for Fall or Christmas!
Have a wonderful weekend friends, thank you for all of your kind comments and encouragement about the house. Don’t forget to share your “favorites” from the week, recipes, podcast, books or whatever else you enjoyed.

Best wishes for a long and lovely life at the new house! looking forward to seeing all the beautiful changes!
I think Friday Favorites may be my favorite read of the week. Always love visiting your blog. Thank you for sharing!

You have the neatest links! The Seven Lakes Inn, Maine is stunningly perfect for a vacation. They’ve created a beautiful place there, the porch is dreamy.
Thank you May, I appreciate you telling me that. I love to read and find lots to share but I am not always sure that other people enjoy the links. The Seven Lakes inn is lovely.

I’d love to get that chocolate cookbook but I already have two or three and I will never get to make all the recipes in them so I really shouldn’t add more. I’m looking forward to cooler temperatures too there’s a way to go before it cools down here.
