Good morning friends, it’s National Pumpkin day, who knew. Halloween is on Sunday, are you ready? Is the house decorated? Do you have your costume ready for any parties you are attending or just to hand out candy? Speaking of candy, do you have a favorite Halloween candy? I like Reeses peanut butter pumpkins, tootsie rolls and Twix bars. There is still time to make, bake and decorate to celebrate with your family and friends if you answered no to any of the previous questions.

I hope that you enjoyed my Halloween treats and the easy decorations. Have a great day friends.

Good morning Elizabeth! Am having a slice of pumpkin bread and reading your latest.
Every year I wear – unironically – a vintage 1980s appliqued Halloween vest. Remember when those holiday sweaters were all the rage? Yeah, I kept mine 🙂
A few years ago I got inspired by the kitchen scene in “Meet Me in St. Louis” where they were making the special Halloween cake…so I always order mine from Williams-Sonoma 🙂
On Halloween Day we’ll walk through a historic cemetery, roast pumpkin seeds, and hand out candy in the evening – already went to Costco and bought 5 big bags; we get quite a crowd.
Happy Halloween!
Amy, pumpkin bread for breakfast is just the way to start the day. A Halloween vest is perfect, you never have to think about a costume. I remember when holidays sweaters were the rage too, I loved them. I’ve never had a cake from WS, are they good? Have a wonderful Halloween, your day sounds lovely.
WS cakes are great! I also always have a box of their chocolate croissants in my freezer – every Friday I have one as a breakfast treat.
Thank you for letting me know! I might have to try one this year to give myself a baking break.
