Good morning friends! I hope that you had a wonderful Christmas. We spent Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with my bother and his family and it was such fun to be around kids on Christmas. My niece still believes in Santa and was so excited she did not sleep one wink while awaiting his arrival. In fact she texted me at 5:30 to come over and open the presents that Santa left. Need less to say, I am tired. I don’t know about you but when I am out of my routine for too many days it wears me out.
Thankfully today I am “back to work” for part of the day. The other part of my day will be spent ordering the appliances, and all of the hardware, lights, etc, for the kitchen and the bathrooms. Then Wednesday the landscape architect is coming to show us the new design. It is the perfect start to the new year, hopefully this means by next Christmas we will have our kitchen and bathrooms and part of the landscape.
Speaking of the new year, 2022 is just a few days away, will you be making any resolutions? I personally stopped making resolutions years ago, they just don’t work for me. What about the “word of the year?” I picked a word for the year for a few years but again it was just something that never stuck. I applaud anyone that does and would love to know their secrets to making the habits, resolutions and such work for them.
I would love to hear more about your plans for 2022, are you going to be making any life changes? Changes to your exercise routine? Moving? Job?
Have a great day my friends, enjoy the waining days of 2021.

Hi Elizabeth,
It will be nice to get back into your routine of doing things. To be sleep deprived is not a good feeling, a good night
sleep does the soul and spirit wonders.
I do not have just one word for the year, I selected three. HOPE SUCCESS VICTORY. This year I only had one word, and that was LOVE. I will have three operative words in 2022.
I wanted to let you know I made four loaves of your Fresh Cranberry Walnut Quick Bread and they turned out perfectly.
I spent Christmas quietly. Just getting through it.
Happy New Year William.
Your holiday sounds lovely.
January lasts longer than the word I chose. It is fun to think about one even when there’s no decision.
I hope your rest and routine are going well.
Thank you May. Have a very happy new year.
Its so fun to enjoy Christmas with the littles … their joy and wonder rub off on. Glad you had a fun filled holiday. I know what you mean though, routine changes. We’re creatures of habit I guess and we need to get back int eh regular groove. So exciting about your kitchen … and landscape. Looks like lots to look forward to in the New Year. xo
Juliet, it looked as though you enjoyed some of your holidays with some little too. I love the Del and have visited many times over the years, now a days it seems as if we spend more time on the East Coast. Happy New Year!
