Hello March

March 1, 2023 By Elizabeth 3 Comments

Welcome March and hello to lighter and brighter days, fresh air, colorful blossoms, buzzing bees and starting fresh after a long winter nap.

Good morning friends, it’s March 1st! The 3rd month of the year, the month of hope and rebirth! The harbingers of spring have been appearing for weeks; robins, daffodils, forsythia adding pops of color to a still dull landscape.

As the calendar page turns so will the clocks. We will spring ahead in a couple of weeks and overnight the world will seem lighter and brighter. Days will be longer, nights shorter.

March, named for Mars the god of war, is also a month filled with celebrations. The 8th is International Women’s Day, the 17th St. Patricks’s day, and the 20th is the vernal equinox, marking the first day of Spring!

Spring’s arrival offers the opportunity to fling open the windows of not only our homes but our lives. Let some fresh air in and blow out stale air of winter. Take some time to clear the clutter from your closets, home and mind. You will feel lighter as you let go of things you have been holding on to or that have been holding you back.

Jump into this season with both feet as we welcome the new life emerging from the ground, on the trees, in nests and on farms. I have plans this month, as I emerge from my winter cocoon, to try a few new things, visit new places and learn some new things. What about you? What are your plans for Spring?

S. Brown The first blooms of spring always make my heart sing.

THAT’S ALL FOR NOW

Have a wonderful day friends, happy March!
