Spring has sprung and it is time to store our cozy warm sweaters and comfy pants until Fall and pull out our cutest dresses. Today I am sharing a collection of spring dresses, in colorful floral prints, playful patterns, delicate prints, vibrant colors and feminine silhouettes. I’ve pulled together some of the beautiful new arrivals and best sellers that I discovered while perusing my favorite online shops.

How to choose a spring dress

The effortless style of a dress is a great way to refresh your wardrobe. There are many dress styles to choose from; mini, shift, midi, maxi, and shirt dresses to name just a few.

I personally am drawn to classic and timeless pieces and I love to celebrate the new season and springtime adventures with midi length, and maxi dresses. They are the perfect dress length in my opinion for day or night. That said if you are shorter in stature this length may not be right for you so always choose the style and length that suits your body type, lifestyle and that you love.

Accessorizing your dress is easy, you can use jewelry, hats, shoes, belts and bags to add a little or a lot personality, color and bling.

Brooches

This season brooches are on trend so pull out your grandmothers’ favorite, one that you found while thrifting or a new one that you just purchases, and add it to your waist collage or sleeve. Bracelets and necklaces can add texture and color as well as a bit of nostalgia by way of a charm bracelet. A piece of statement jewelry looks great on a black dress and dainty pieces look best on busy floral pieces where the pattern takes center stage.

Hats

Hats not only keep the sun off your face and hair but add a pop of style and can elevate or tone down your look. A baseball hat or a beautiful straw hat each has a place in your spring wardrobe. Belts do the same thing, they can add definition to your waist, add color or texture.

Bags

Last but not least bags! In spring and summer light wicker or straw bags and totes look great with most dresses but you can use leather or fabrics bags. Look for classic pieces that you love and that you can wear for years to come.

How do you wear a spring dress when it is cold?

At this time of year there is still a bit of a chill in the early morning or late afternoon, so don’t forget to bring a cardigan or sweater, a wrap, a leather or denim jacket to keep warm.

How do you wear a floral dress in the spring?

​Sneakers or trainers can be paired with a floral dress for a more casual look but you can also wear ballet flats, slides, sandals or wedge heels.
