FRIDAY FAVORITES NO. 622
Good morning friends! Are you ready for some football? Truth be told, I could care less about the football I am there for the food and the commercials. My husband Bill is a life long KC Chiefs fan so I guess this year I will cheer for a record 3-peat.
What about you? Do you enjoy football or are you like me? Will you be heading to a party or watching at home?
Ok, on to Friday Favorites!
Food
What will you be making for the game?

Chicken wings are not my thing but I could eat an entire platter of this buffalo cauliflower.Â

Does it get any better than your favorite nacho recipe smothered in pimento cheese?

Oh my goodness, don’t these Elotes fries topped with queso sauce and corn tossed in lime crema, and cotija cheese look amazing?

Sheet pan crispy jalapeño chicken tacos! Tieghan makes everything look easy and delicious.

Of course you have to have a sweet treat too! A big tray of Outrageous Brownies is a perfect way to celebrate the winning team.

The French Perfumer
‘Shorthand typist required by English speaker in the South of France. Live-in, full board plus salary commensurate with experience.’
Iris Turner, an unworldly young Englishwoman, arrives in the French Riviera to take up a secretarial role for the mysterious Hammond Brooke. Living in a small, exclusive hotel among eccentric and unpredictable aristocrats and struggling to gain her employer’s trust, she soon realises that nothing is as it seems.
Initiated into the mysterious world of perfume, she finds herself entangled in a web of intrigue and deception. Gradually discovering the truth, she gains a new understanding of the meaning of love, loyalty and betrayal.

The Louvre is the most famous museum in the world, attracting millions of visitors every year with its masterpieces. In Adventures in the Louvre, Elaine Sciolino immerses herself in this magical space and helps us fall in love with what was once a forbidding fortress.
Exploring galleries, basements, rooftops, and gardens, Sciolino demystifies the Louvre, introducing us to her favorite artworks, both legendary and overlooked, and to the people who are the museum’s lifeblood: the curators, the artisans producing frames and engravings, the builders overseeing restorations, the firefighters protecting the aging structure.
Blending investigative journalism, travelogue, history, and memoir, Sciolino walks her readers through the museum’s front gates and immerses them in its irresistible, engrossing world of beauty and culture. Adventures in the Louvre reveals the secrets of this grand monument of Paris and basks in its timeless, seductive power.
