Good morning! A happy Friday to you. I hope that you have had a great week. The weather here has been bright, sunny and hot, the perfect southern, summer weather. I am looking forward to a little rest this weekend and I might even venture to the beach.

Here are a few of my favorites from around the web this week.

Food

Image What’s Gabby Cooking

Like many when it is hot and humid I do not feel like cooking so this Watermelon, Kale and Feta Salad is perfect.

If you feel like making a little effort by cooking the watermelon try this Grilled Watermelon and Heirloom Tomato Salad.

This Tomato, Basil and Feta Over Spaghetti Squash is one of my favorite things to make in the summer. It can be made with pasta or spaghetti squash if you are eating low carb and it is refreshing and delicious.

Even though it is hot I still like to enjoy chocolate treats, so these No Bake Chocolate Peanut Butter Oatmeal Treats are perfect, you simply cook everything in a pan on the stove, scoop them out and refrigerate until ready to enjoy.

Who What Wear Target

I love dresses, they are easy to wear and make it even more easy to get dresses. This shirt dress from Target is one of my new favorites.

Image and Book Here

I have been in love with Carolyne Roehm for years, in fact I am just old enough to remember her work as a fashion designer. Her art, books, houses, flower arrangements, interior design are awe inspiring. This September her newest book is coming out, it is a little expensive so you might want to put it on your Christmas list.

That’s it for this week. Please share your recipes, podcasts, books, adventures and whatever else you discovered this week.

Have a happy and safe weekend.

  1. I don't always comment, either, but I do enjoy reading every one of your blog posts. You always offer delightful ideas, books to read, interior décor to blend with mine. Thank you!

  2. That beautiful book will be my Christmas gift to all my girlfriends. They will love it so much! This is truly something to give to those "who simply do not need one thing." Those Anthro sandals are so cute !!

  3. You're probably too young for this but there was an excellent essay about menopause in the NY Times.
