The Little Things…Winter

Winter can be a long, lonely, gloomy few months and it is definitely a time to enjoy the little things. This month I am savoring the days that I was snowed in and decided to do nothing but relax, read, watch movies and eat comfort food. The beauty of a snowfall from inside a warm house and a walk to enjoy the wonderland it created. A pot of chili simmering on the stove after a long day at work and of course a few of my new favorite cookies. Fresh baked bread on Sunday morning. The antics of my pups who keep me on my toes and always put a smile on my face. Long calls with my siblings and parents on Sunday afternoon. Daydreaming of my upcoming trips.

Those are just a few of the little things I have enjoyed this winter. What about you? Are you savoring the little moments in life? Please share your favorites from this month.

Have a great day!

  1. How dogs can sleep like that is a mystery!

Our area hosts a three week winter festival in February that helps things along nicely.

  2. OMGoodness your puppy looks just like my SIL's Buddy! They could be twins! What a cute photo. This winter has about gotten my down, so I'm trying to find the little things, too. We have a horse show this weekend, and I'm praying that it won't be rainy and cold.

  3. I’m ready for warmer temps and sunshine! As I get older I’m enjoying winter less- didn’t know that was a ‘thing’ among seniors, but now I’m there! Don’t our animals bring us such joy? Ours are constant love and entertainment . Happy February Elizabeth and stay warm! Spring is getting nearer❤️
