Mad for Plaid Finds and Saturday Meanderings

Good morning friends. It is a quiet morning here, everyone is sleeping in and I am savoring the quiet. I love to be awake before “the world” or at least the people in my world, when the everything is silent and orderly and there are no toys to trip over, no blankets all over the furniture for the dogs to burrow in and there is a small bit of order in the chaos  swirling around inside and out of the house.

The cosy season is just beginning and I am ready to settle in and enjoy the next few months, anyone else? I have always strived to have a cosy home. I embrace the English cottage esthetic of and old and new, plaid and paisley.  Books, transfer ware, collections from travels, pieces from family and more are found in each room and being surround by the memories of each piece, their stories and history feels like a hug.

Should you visit my house you will be greeted by a pack(of three) weenie dogs barking a greeting as they usher you into the house. They will escort you to the most comfortable chair and sit at your feet as you are served the house specialty, a cup of steaming chocolate chaud, served in a French chocolate pot, warm baked treats piled high on a platter and time to rest and relax from the stress of the day.

If you have been around here for awhile you know that I LOVE plaid; blankets, throws, shoes, pillows, in the house, and on my person.

This morning I thought I would share a few plaid pieces for Fall that I think you might like.

Mad for Plaid Fall Finds

I posted about  last week and apparently a lot of people liked it because they emailed me to let me know they ordered it. I am sure it is going to be a wonderful addition to your wardrobes.

This  is a classic piece in a beautiful Fall plaid.

I have a pair of plaid wellie boots and every time I wear them someone asks me about them, Make a statement with your fall wardrobe with these cute boots.

Add a touch of plaid to your front door, this wreath would look great with your Halloween and Thanksgiving decor.

Don’t forget a cosy plaid throw to keep you warm as you sit around your fire pit or inside with a good book, reading by the glow of a fall scented candle enjoying a cup of hot chocolate. Here are a few of my favorites, this, and this and last but not least

Thank you for spending a little of your day here I always appreciate your comments and thoughts I hope that you have a wonderful weekend!

  1. Oh, you had me at the door! Wish I were there having chocolate with you this morning. I’m a plaid lover from way back. So much centers around our Scottish family tartan. Happy Saturday!
