Happy Thanksgiving
Good morning and a Happy Thanksgiving friends,
Today, I hope that you find yourself at the table surrounded by the ones you love and happily enjoying all of your favorite Thanksgiving foods.
I am thankful that each day you come to Pinecones & Acorns to read a recipe, share a story or just “hang out.” And I am forever grateful for your kindness on good and bad days. Your notes of encouragement and support not only for me but for the other readers of the blog are a balm on hard days.
Thank you for letting me be a part of your day. Your friendship and this community that we have built is a place to come and share ideas, adventures, values, recipes and little bits of life, it’s a special place. Maybe even a haven from the storms of life.
We’ve been though a lot together over these last 13 years and in case I have not expressed it enough I wanted to say thank you for being a friend that feels like family.
I leave you with this Thanksgiving prayer,
We asked for strength, and you gave us difficulties to make us strong.
We asked for wisdom, and you gave us problems to solve.
We asked for prosperity, and you gave us purpose and brains to use.
We asked for courage, and you gave us fears to overcome.
We asked for patience, and you gave us situations where we were forced to wait.
We asked for love, and you gave us troubled people to help.
We asked for justice, and you called us to be just and to lead with integrity.
Lord, we have received nothing that we asked for or wanted.
And yet, we received everything that we needed.
For this, we give thanks. Amen. ~Dr. Colleen Hanycz
Until Next Time
Have a lovely day.
