Good morning friends! I hope that your week is off to a great start. Holiday weeks always throw me off a little so I “hit the ground running” yesterday and I have a full schedule for the rest of the week.
Now that Labor Day has passed I am in full-on Fall mode and I cannot wait to start in on my Fall bucket list.

Today I want to share 21 things about Fall that will make you smile.
1. The colors of fall, oranges, yellows, red and all colors in between.

2. Simmering soup and chili.
3. The crunch of leaves under your feet on your morning walk.

4. The smell of the first wood fire of the season.
5. Picking apples and making homemade caramel apples.

6. Picking pumpkins.
7. Making scarecrows.
8. Going for hayrides.

9. Going leaf peeping in the mountains, at a local park or in your own backyard.
10. Carving pumpkins.

11. Laughing children dressed as ghosts, super hero’s, goblins, witches, fairies, and other characters.
12. Pumpkin flavored, donuts, latte’s, cakes, pies, cookies and more.

13. Farmer’s markets bursting with corn, apples, mushrooms, squash, cabbages, pumpkins and lots of sunflowers.
14. Candy Corn.

15. Tartan, blankets, scarves, boots, pajamas and everything else.
Tell me friends what makes you smile when you think about Fall?
Have a great day!

I ALWAYS enjoy your posts. Thank you for sharing. Our first couch, over 40 years ago, had pheasants on it. We do not have the couch, but we do still have a large lithograph of quail, called The Sentrie, over the front window, in our office, that is over 35 years old. They are timeless and always make me smile. Thankfully, we have rain after weeks of over 100 degree weather. Enjoy your day.
Love it all Elizabeth but feel sad I may miss out on many fall things this year – especially traveling overseas, we always did an October trip somewhere new and amazing, and/or home to England!!!
I've just written our pumpkin farm family south of the city to ask if they will even have pumpkins, squash etc. for sale this year. It would be great to at least take a country drive soon, view the changing colors – and of course we will, pumpkins or not!!! Our favorite ice cream place is down that same road – hopefully they will be open for business.
My knitted 'scarves/hats/gloves drawer' is organized and ready for action, and yes, already knitting again in the evenings while stuck in front of the TV! I went through clothes and took three bags to the charity/thrift shop this week. I have no set plan to buy much for the new season – perhaps a fedora hat and at least one wool blend trouser in a subtle glen plaid perhaps.
Have a great weekend – still hot here, flannel bedding and warm pj's not required yet!
