Good morning! Can you believe it is already March?
It seems as if we should be starting to feel the winter thaw but I do not see that happening anytime soon.
Especially as there are two snowstorms set to hit this week and for the first time in a long time they say all 50 states will have snow!
This crazy weather has me thinking of summer and time on the beach.
Just before Christmas I spent five days in Florida on Amelia Island at the Omi Amelia Island Plantation & Resort and although it was not exactly summer it was warm, sunny and fabulous.
My days were spent walking the beach, sitting by the pool and visiting friends.
I thought I would share a few of the photos that I took, just in case you want to “feel” a little summer too.
What do you think? Can you feel the warmth of the sun? Do you feel the water lapping at your toes?
Or are you just walking along listening to the sound of the waves crashing at the shore?
Perhaps you are searching the horizon for a dolphin? There were many the day that I took these photos. They frolicked in the water both morning and afternoon
Perhaps you are fascinated by the gulls and birds that either stand and seems to be having a “coffee clutch” or darting around as if their life depended upon it?
Whatever the case, I hope you managed to drift away from your morning routine and relax for a bit, dreaming of a warm summer day.
The Omni Amelia Island Plantation & Resort is a beautiful resort, you can kayak, hike, bike, golf, play tennis, ride horses, play tennis or relax at the spa. There are many great activities to enjoy or you can explore Amelia Island which has been named among the Top 10 North American islands by Conde Nast Traveler’s Readers Choice Awards for seven consecutive years and is recognized as a Top 25 Island in the World!
If you would like more information of the resort click the link above and for more information about Amelia Island, click HERE.
I hope that you have a great week! Stay warm and safe.
P.S:
I have not been compensated by the Omni Resorts, I simply love Amelia Island and the Omni Resort and have spent a lot of time at both and wanted to share this hidden gem!
