Good morning! This is the last hurrah for most of us this summer, it’s back to school and back to work for another year. Here are 10 scrumptious foods that you might want to make for your Labor Day party. I will be having at least 4 or 5 things on this list. Then I will probably have to diet so that I can get ready to eat all of the tasty treats of the upcoming holidays.

This bbq pork sandwich from Martha Stewart may be all I need to eat for the entire weekend! I am drooling right now.

A fabulous meal in one foil packet, Bbq chicken from Life Made Sweeter.

It would not be a summer party without a burger! This Bacon Brie Burger with Spicy Peach Carmelizd Onion from Climbing Grier Mountain would be great.

For the hot dog lovers, Grilled South American Hot Dogs with Tomato Salsa, recipe from Cauldron.

Corn is a summer staple, this Parmesan Grilled Corn is great side to serve at the bbq! Recipe from Tara’s Multicultural Table.

Country Living

Use up some of your gardens’ bounty and make this Cucumber Tomato Salad from County Living.

Watermelon Berry Salad, cool, refreshing and a great palate cleanser before dessert. Recipe from Yay for Food.

It doesn’t get any easier than this recipe, store bought pie crust and blueberries make east Blueberry Hand Pies, you can make these with your kids and grandkids for a little fun.

This is the Best Banana Cake Ever and it is great for parties and for kids to take to school as a special treat too.

Add a plate of Magic Bars to the buffet and watch them disappear.

What are your plans for Labor Day? Do you have a favorite food that you love to eat in the summer and are planning to make to eat this weekend?

Have a great day!

That fruit salad looks particularly delectable in this heat. I got a fourth of a watermelon yesterday at the grocery store. I didn't even realize that Labor Day was upon us until yesterday!
