Yes I feel for the Texas people and hope things improve soon. We had a terrible tornado at Ocean Isle this week – the photos of the total devastation (and there were deaths) are unbelievable. Here inland we escaped the possible ice storm, along with all the negative things that come with them, such as power outages! Thankful for this.
You’ve given me a lot to digest here dear Elizabeth, so I’m away to read after I grab a glass of cabernet perhaps!

Enjoy your weekend – be safe and warm.

Mary, it always brightens my day when you come to visit. I am so happy you survived all of the bad weather. The rain here has been awful, flooding in many areas. Thankfully as far as I know no one has died. I hope that you have a wonderful weekend. xo

Writing from Texas to thank you all for sending your kind thoughts our way. This Winter storm is not at all something those of us in the middle, South or Eastern part of Texas are used to. We’re flood and hurricane surviors, don’t know what to do with snow and freezing temps! This weather event should be a lesson to teach our younger generation across the Nation, to be prepared for anything as I told my son even an ant knows to prepare for Winter.
