Flower finds, Hill House Vintage Goes to Paris, Walmart pillows and more on this weekend edition of weekend meanderings.
Good morning friends, a very happy Saturday to you.
Today I am joining Kim and Juliet for Weekend Meanderings. Then I have a quiet rainy weekend at home planned.
Let’s meander shall we?

Kitchen Update
Speaking of rain, when it rains it pours. This week the renovation took two steps forward and then two steps back.
The floors were cleaned and sealed, then grouting, but they ran out of grout. Brick herring bone takes a LOT of grout. More grout was ordered but did not arrived as promised, consequently they aren’t finished. Perhaps Monday or Tuesday.
Washer and dryer arrived after 6 month wait, the dryer was squished like an accordion. The washer only works if it is plugged into the dryer(news to me) so they both went back until replacements can be found.
Double ovens arrived as well and look beautiful if I do say so myself. Alas there will be no baking in them this weekend because they were not able to install them. My Breveille smart oven bakes just fine though so I am making zucchini bread and cupcakes.
Building and renovating are not for the fait of heart at the best of times and post-Covid they are even more challenging. My advice, don’t do it, just kidding. Seriously, you need a lot of TIME and PATIENCE, loose your expectations at the door and be prepared for disappointments and long, long waits. In the end it will all be worth it.
Just a note, the kitchen shown above is not mine, you can see more of it and the rest of the house here.
Weekend Flower Finds
This dress! It stopped me in mid-scroll and has been on my mind all week. I put it into my cart and even went back to visit it. I love everything about it, the color, the flowers, the shape, the romance. Alas I have no where to wear it so in the cart it has stayed. I thought I would share it with you this weekend, just in case one of you have a wedding or a party to wear it. Should you already own the dress please let me know how fabulous you look in it.
I have always liked a beautiful silk scarf, a friend sent me a link to this beautiful scarf and I ordered one for me and one to give as a Christmas gift. It is never too early to start your Christmas shopping.
Lucy Hunter has creates works on art, on her farm, with her flowers and in this book. Each arrangement is like an Old Master still life painting. I added this book to my Christmas list.
How beautiful are these colorful botanical pieces?
You have got to see the details in this botanical tryptic, there are birds, owls, squirrels and of course flowers.

Hill House Vintage Goes to Paris!
Are you a fan of Paula from Hill House Vintage, me too! Do you remember last week when I shared the film and the book Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris? Paula was invited by the produces of the movie, Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris on a press trip. Not only did she visit the Dior museum but also learned how to make croissants, baguettes and cookie but was able to enjoy the cuisine of Paris too! You can see her adventure here.

This stone ware is beautiful too!
This woven tray is great inside or outside, could be used for candles, books, on your ottoman or to serve food.
