Farm Rio restock, watermelon recipes, Etsy finds, summer style and Christmas in July on weekend meanderings.
Good morning friends, happy Saturday! This morning I am joining KIM and JULIET for weekend meanderings. It’s always fun to see what they’ve done, made, seen, read, and bought over the past week because we do not confer ahead of time about our posts.
It’s been another busy week here, last night the last brick was laid on the floor of the kitchen, next up sealing and grouting. I am giddy with excitement I love it so much. Next up a few of the appliances on the 29th. I am looking forward to the arrival of the washer and dryer, this week I felt like a college kid home on break as I lugged two loads of laundry to my brothers house.
One of the other perks of living so close to my brother is that on Thursday’s my niece and I spend the day together, sometimes we shop, other times we go on an adventure, this week we made n0-churn cookie and caramel ice cream. We used is the same recipe I shared last week for National Ice Cream day if you want to make some to enjoy this weekend.
Let’s Meander
It’s Back…Blue & White Chinoiserie Farm Rio Dress
Last year I bought this beautiful blue and white chinoiserie dress. I get compliments on it where ever I wear it not only because of the color but also because people tell me it reminds them of “blue willow” china. The dress was so popular that it sold out everywhere, could have been because Bunny Williams wore it to Furlow Gatewoods’ birthday party and shared photos on Instagram. If you liked it and missed out on it, now is your chance to get one because it has been restocked.
You can see some of my other Farm Rio Picks in this post.
Blue and white lovers you might enjoy these looks.

Christmas In July
It’s never too soon to start thinking about Christmas, at least not at my house. I am not a fan of Halloween so once the weather starts to cool off my mind instantly turns to Christmas. In fact I am one of those people that decorates before Thanksgiving so that I can enjoy the twinkling lights and decorations longer and have more time bake and do fun holiday things in December.
All of that is to say that I ordered this book just in case I need some inspiration or want to change things up this year.
Do you remember this adorable Anthropologie gingerbread door mat from last Christmas? The good news is that you can make your own using this tutorial.
This year I am going to branch out and try to make a few German cookie recipes, so far I have added this one, this one and this one to my list.
My Pinterest boards for Christmas are filling up with desserts and decorating ideas if you are looking for a few you can find them here.
Etsy Finds
Yesterday I discovered this pink and white gingham bag and I could not get it out of my mind, so down the rabbit hole I went and I found some more beautiful pieces from the same Etsy seller.
A set of s can be used now and for the holidays as well. Although I did not count them I think there are at least ten other placemat designs that you might prefer.
How cute are these ? They are available in watermelon, lemon, cherries, apples, oranges, pears or you can get mixed fruit.
