Homemade Holiday Gifts: Spicy Pretzels

December 13, 2022 By Elizabeth@ Pine Cones and Acorns 7 Comments

Move over Chex mix there is a new snack in town. Buttery, spicy, savory pretzels. These Dot’s inspired pretzels will become a family favorite with just one bite.

Good morning friends, today I have an easy and delicious spicy pretzel recipe that you are going to love. These Dot’s inspired pretzels will become a family favorite this holiday season.

I grew up making Check mix at the holidays and although I like it I think there is always room for something new on the snack table. Move over Chex mix there is a new snack in town.

Homemade gifts and treats for family and friends are great anytime but especially at the holidays.

This Spicy Pretzel recipe is perfect to make in large batches to give away, add to gift baskets, or to have around for holiday parties, family gatherings, and game day too.

You could also just make a big batch for yourself to enjoy while watching holiday movies.

Spicy Pretzels

Ingredients

1 package 12-16 oz. pretzel sticks

1 tsp. Cayenne pepper

1 tsp. lemon pepper

11/2 tsp. garlic powder

1 package of ranch dressing(dry mix)

3/4 cup of canola oil

Directions

Place the pretzels in a gallon zip lock bag. Add all of the other ingredients to a small bowl stir and mix well Then pour the seasoning mix over the pretzels. Toss gently to coat. Leave overnight or at least a few hours, periodically toss the pretzels to coat again while in the bag.

Pour the pretzels onto a baking sheet then bake at 200 for 40 minutes.

Remove from oven, cool and then package into tins or cellophane bags tied with a ribbon.

One year I made all homemade goods in baskets for Xmas gifts. I think now they'd be more appreciated.
