Monday Musings No. 198
Good morning friends, I hope that you had a lovely weekend. Are you currently traveling for Thanksgiving? Some of our family set off early this morning but we are staying put.
Our weekend was great until Sunday afternoon when I hit a deer. Thankfully I am ok, my SUV is not and I do not think the deer is either. After I hit her she flew across the road, landed in the dirt, hopped up ran back across the road and was hit by another car.
We have a lot of deer here in the village and a lot of building, not to mention it is rutting season. So apparently they are out more? I could be wrong about that but it is what I have heard. I think I feel worse about the deer than my vehicle.

Speaking of, this is just a little reminder that this is the month of Thanksgiving. Count your blessing. Practice gratitude everyday but especially during this month of Thanksgiving.
What about you? How was your weekend? What did you do? Are you starting your Thanksgiving prep? What kind of desserts are you making?
Ok, on to +5 Things.
1.Read~The Life She Could Have Lived

I LOVED this book!
What if the answer to one little question could change your whole life?
Soon after Anna goes on the best date of her life with a man called James – she and her best friend Nia visit a fortune teller. Who tells Nia that she will have one great love. But all she tells Anna is that her future is with a man whose name begins with a J.
It won’t be James though – he never calls. And then Anna meets Edward – gorgeous, kind, loving. He’s all she’s ever dreamed of. Until he asks her to make a choice about their future.
If Anna says ‘yes’ to him, her life will go one way. If she says ‘no’, it’ll go another. Both of the worlds could be happy. Both of the worlds could be heartbreaking… But as Nia meets her one great love in both worlds, which of Anna’s answers – yes or no – will bring her life together with the person who she’s fated to be with?

So glad to hear that you are okay after your “deer hit” yesterday. So stressful and frightening. I worked for a major insurance company as an auto claims rep back in 2009-2010 during an economic slump. We had deer claims everyday. The most stressful job I ever had. I was so happy when my former employer recalled us back to work. Take time to regroup this week and have a blessed Thanksgiving.
Dear Elizabeth,
I was ready to send then my temperamental iPhone took my message away. ERR!
I’m so sorry about the deer getting hit twice and your SUV getting hurt. I’m glad you are ok and did not get hurt. It’s just another thing to deal with. The poor deer.
Me, we are guessing, yay. I will be baking on Wednesday to bring lots of goodies to their huge home. There will be up to 40 family and friends.
I put up a 2” foot tree on Saturday. We also have a ceramic tree with the little lights you put in. It’s very sweet, about 30 years old. We donated our 7” foot tree many years ago. It just got to be too much for me. It’s all good. I decorate the house, it looks festive. Candles always add warmth and holiday cheer.
Take care, you had a rough Sunday. Stay safe out there.
