Instructions
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 F. Spray a 9 x 5″ inch loaf pan with cooking spray and line with parchment paper. Leave an overhang on the sides to use as handles to remove the bread from the pan.
In a small bowl mix together the topping ingredients, the walnuts, white and brown sugar and cinnamon until well combined. Set aside.
In a large bowl, using a whisk, mix together the oil, applesauce, milk, eggs, white sugar and vanilla extract.
In another large bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients, flour, oats, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and allspice.
Add the dry ingredients and the chopped walnuts and diced apple to the wet ingredients. Mix until just combined.
Pour batter into a prepared loaf pan, then sprinkle with the cinnamon nut topping.
Bake the cinnamon applesauce bread for 50-65 minutes or until a skewer inserted in the center of the bread comes out clean.
Let the bread cool for 10-15 minutes in the pan then remove and cool completely on a wire rack.
