Father’s Day is just around the corner, these Father’s Day gift ideas are thoughtful and practical and any dad in your life would love to receive one or more.

Father’s Day is June 15th, so you still have plenty of time to shop or make a gift. My Father’s Day gift ideas are perfect for husbands, dads, grandads, step-dads, uncles, brothers or any other father-figure in your life.
I asked Bill to share a few of his favorite things, old and new, then compiled them into this Father’s Day gift guide. There is something for everyone, even the most challenging person to buy a gift for.

Father’s Day Gift Ideas
1.Espresso Machine~Bill gifted himself this coffee machine when we moved a few years ago and he uses it every single day.
It is definitely a splurge but when you can make coffeeshop coffee, espresso, cappuccino and all sorts of drinks without leaving the house it’s the gift that keeps on giving. You can even steam milk for hot chocolate which I do.
2. Games! Bocce Ball, a fun outdoor game for the whole family. Or maybe backgammon(we own this and take it on trips).
3. Apron, for the grill enthusiast, handcrafted from durable cotton canvas and treated with a protective wax coating. Have it monogramed or embroidered with dads’ favorite saying. Add a potholder and oven mitt for dad to keep by the grill, pizza oven or outdoor kitchen.
4. Ooni Pizza Oven~we have had this pizza oven for over 5 years and it’s great! It cooks the pizza in 60 seconds. My only complaint is that I wish we had the bigger one so that we could make more than one pizza at a time.
5.Yetti Mugs~I know many people like the Stanley mugs but we have been using Yeti mugs and coolers for years and they keep your drinks cold or hot for almost 24 hours.
6.Barbeque cookbooks, Bill is a huge fan or Aaron Franklin. You can get both of his books in a gift set! The Barbecue Bible is another favorite. Speaking of barbecue, a ceramic Kamado Joe or Big Green Egg are definitely a splurge but a gift dad will love. We have one and use it all summer long.
7. Cardigan~ a sweatshirt cardigan, dress it up or down. Shorts and linen shirts are great too.
8. Portable Bonfire or mini-bon-fire, all stainless steel construction, portable, smokeless and durable. Great for cool summer evenings and of course to use for making s’mores!
9. A Kindle E-reader~you can never go wrong with a book gift. Or in this case a Kindle so that dad can download books from the library, or Amazon and read wherever he likes and whenever.
10. Anything from Barebones! Gear for camping or working outside, lanterns and foraging bag are favorites. We also love the open fire gloves great for bbq and working around the camp fire.
11. A framed photo of you and your dad! That is always a great gift. Don’t forget the handmade card.
You can see all of my gifts ideas at the bottom of the page.

Homemade Sweet Treats for Father’s Day
Last but no least, you could always make your dads favorite sweet treat or meal.

My dad loved brownies, and chocolate chip cookies so I make a batch and send them to him in the mail when we cannot spend the holiday together. A chocolate cake is also an easy and delicious option.

Father’s Day Gifts!

Oh Elizabeth, these are super gifts! My father would have enjoyed a portrait of his favorite dog of all time…a darling English sheepdog mix!!!!!!!
Have a great day, Anita
Love the silver monogrammed money clip and a beautiful pen is always a great gift. I love that first saying…and how true it is!
Thanks for the great suggestions, Elizabeth! I agree with Tina about the quote – it's so true. I don't need to buy any Father's Day gifts – my children are old enough to buy for my husband on their own now. I will cook him a special dinner, though!
Enjoy your day…xoxo
Elizabeth, I always finding the perfect gift for a man difficult. At least the men in my life buy whatever they want and/or need forgetting someone might want to surprise them. A handsome pen is always a perfect gift. Roger would love a portrait of our sweet Willie. I hope you are enjoying your week. Bonnie
Wonderful quote.. so true. Great gift ideas!y dad is in s senior care home and not doing well.. so it's a tough time. My husband will be flying to Paris (on business so we will celebrate a week later. The money clip is a great idea!
These are wonderful ideas Elizabeth, thanks for putting these together. I never have too much trouble because my Dad is crazy about golf so it's pretty easy. Plus he likes home baked cookies and I always bake for him too. But the money clip is a good idea.
Leslie aka Gwen Moss
The pen's a rather good one.
A friend uses a Yeti lunchbox.
How do they like it?
Hi Elizabeth,
I remember this is the day you are getting a MRI. I totally understand why you are/were feeling a little nervous. Just wanted to let you know I’m thinking of you. YES, you are a good thing to think about.
I have had many MRI, I request peaceful spa like music and always keep my eyes closed.
Hello Katherine,
The MRI was certainly interesting. I had to lay on my stomach with my face in a hole, like when you get a massage and also have my Brest down two other holes and a little pressure from the sides.
I had an amazing technician and she came on the ear phones to let me know what was next, how long and what I would feel.
Thank you so very much for thinking of me, that is so kind of you!
I hope that you have a wonderful day.
Hi Elizabeth,
Oh my goodness, so glad you had a good technician. Did they provide you music if you wanted. I hope you were not in there forever. One of my MRI’s lasted for 90 minutes. I have TMJ among other chronic health issues.
Have a good day.
Hello Katherine, no there was no music. To be honest the clicking noise was actually distracting and helped the time go faster. It sounded a bit like a metronome.
I am just waiting for the results.
90 minutes!!! Oh my goodness, I do not think I could be in there for that long.
Have a wonderful day my friend, stay cool
