Good morning friends, today is International Women’s Day, “a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.” (from International Women’s Day.com)

Today is the perfect day to not only celebrate the strong, funny, kind, intelligent and amazing women in the world and your life but to celebrate YOU as well. You are AMAZING ladies!

In 2020-201 we have America’s first woman Vice President, the first female referee at the Super Bowl. the first female coach at the Super bowl, the first woman to lead a major Wall Street bank, the first two women to jointly win the Nobel Prize for Chemistry. The first statues of “real-life” women  Sojourner Truth, Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Candy Stanton were erected in Central Park. These are just a few “firsts” for women this past year and there are many more in sports, politics, entertainment, medicine, and every other field you can think of. These are all wonderful accomplishments but it is still not enough, we need to continue to push and strive for women’s equality and gender parity.

“Here’s to strong women, may we know them, may we be them, may we raise them.”

Have a great day and a wonderful week.
