Weekend Meanderings
Good morning friends, we’re back and we are happy to have you with us. If you are new here, Weekend Meanderings is our weekly series where we(Kim, Juliet and I) share all of the things that piqued our interest and caught our eye this week. This could be anything from travel, books, home tours, sights around town, etc. You never know what you are going to discover but it will always be interesting.
Can you believe it’s August? Honestly, this summer seems to have flown by and I have no idea why. But it has been a peaceful and fun few weeks, we have hosted and attended barbecues, spent lots of time at the pool and the beach club paddle boarding or just enjoying time with friends. I’m ticking things off my bucket list and savoring this season but I won’t lie I am so looking forward to the “ber months.”
I am a Fall girl through and through, as well as a “nester. There is nothing I love more that shorter days, longer nights, a fire in the fireplace, soup on the stove and something sweet baking in the oven. I am not counting the days but I am looking forward to Fall, for now I am soaking up the sun and vitamin D and getting lots of reading in. If you would like to know that I am reading this year you can see all of the books I have read and those I share on the blog here.
I have lots of fun stuff to share so let’s get to it.
One to Follow~Jordan Kamelleri
Typically I share houses in the UK but over out break I have branched out and discovered a whole bunch of new people all over the world, this week it is Italy.
Jordan is an interior designer and renovator from Britain that lives in Italy. Along with his partner he has renovated 5 villas in the last 10 years. They have recently purchased a 500 year old palace and their forever home. Follow along as they bring back this beautiful place that has not been lived in for over 30 years. You can see all of the progress on Youtube or Instagram.
Sarah Allen~Casa Collective
This house is beautiful. One of my favorite things about the tour is how the owner shares every detail and piece of art, why she loves it, where they found and and why it is in the space. You can see more of Sarahs’ home on Instagram.
Traci White Home Tour
Traci White is a Dallas based interior designer who does whole house designs all over the country.
See more of her work at Traci White Design or on Instagram.
Reflections on Aging
Embrace your age will give you a few things other than think about.

In Case You Missed It

This week I shared a few Christmas in July posts. On Monday Musings, I shared this fun holiday inspired outfit along with my favorite Christmas movie and book.

No is the time to start collecting your pinecones for holiday projects. This post will help you clean them so that they are debugged and ready to place in bowls, on the mantle or to use to make a wreath or even garland.

Book mark this easy, and delicious Caramelized Almond Bark with Sea Salt. This scrumptious treat is perfect for gifts, favors or to add to your holiday cookie and candy tray.

Last but not least Friday Favorites, books, recipes, interesting articles, fall inspiration and more.

UNTIL NEXT TIME
I hope that you enjoyed weekend meanderings. If you did please share the post on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter or Pinterest.

On My Radar

Well this is fun. Off to spend some time touring the homes you have here! Have a great weekend!
I LOVE the black fern stoneware! Interesting info about dementia and handwriting. If I could do this with arthritis in both hands, I’d try it. It’s hot here and I’m SO ready for fall!

Hi Elizabeth,
Lovely things to watch and read thank you !
Happy Summer!!
Elizabeth! Good morning! I’m so happy to be back with you and Kim after our July break. Sounds like you’ve been enjoying all the summer things, but I hear you … fall is my favorite season too and you’ve been experiencing some oppressive heat. Sheesh. As usual I can’t wait to get my morning chores done so I can sit down with my laptop and enjoy all these wonderful home tour videos. Very excited to dive into all of them, but Jordan’s villa is especially intriguing. I’d better get my bed made and laundry started so I can indulge the rest of the afternoon. Thanks so much for my Cabo packing shout out. Can you believe I went anywhere with a carry-on. Ha! Hope you have another fun filled weekend. xoxo
Another wonderful post – great links and videos!
Thank you Susan.
So what’s in the pot?
Hello Cristi, if you mean what is in the blue post that is a recipe I shared on Friday Favorites post. You can find the recipe there.
Elizabeth, I’m a fall girl too! I love when the days get cooler and shorter…not great for my work day with photography, but other than that, I love it! You always find the best home tours! \
xx
Hi Elizabeth! So nice to be back with you ladies. What fun all these videos are. I plan to watch them tomorrow morning with my coffee!
I am with you – looking forward to fall and soups and sweaters. It does sound like you are having a nice summer though!
The bark looked so good! I need to read the Pinecone cleaning post. We have so many at the Tahoe cabin. I like to make them into bird feeders with peanut butter . They look great in baskets too.
I need to find out what books you are reading! This is the best part of summer and such a very needed escape now.
Have a beautiful weekend . x Kim
