If you have been here awhile than you know that I am mad for plaid. Plaid blankets, plaid cups, hats, shoes, coats, mugs, pillows and more are just a few of the plaid items in my closet, cabinets and house.

Plaid is a neutral, just like leopard in my opinion. in fact in the right colors or hues it can be worn year round. But in the Fall and Winter tartan plaid shines!

Blackwatch and Stewart are some of the most popular. The colorful greens and reds lend themself to the favorite colors of the holidays.

Plaid pillows and throws add warmth and color to your living, family room. and bedroom. They are an inexpensive way to add pattern without a huge commitment and can be used year after year in various spaces.

Tartan dishes and cups.

We have tartan salad plates and appetizer plates that we pair with our everyday white dishes, and mugs to drink our morning hot chocolate from.

TJ Maxx and Marshall both have beautiful sets of tartan dishes both salad and dinner plates, so be sure to check the store on online. As do Pottery Barn and Williams Sonoma.

  2. I’m a plaid girl myself, so I can appreciate all of the plaid that’s more visible during this season. I actually like it year round in other color combinations. Lovely post!
