Good Monday morning to you friends. It is raining this morning and the pitter patter of the drops hitting the skylight are music to my ears. It has been so hot here the last few weeks that I haven’t had the energy to do anything or wait, maybe it is the kitchen renovation that was draining my energy. Cooler weather is a welcome treat even if it only lasts a few hours.

The kitchen renovation is nearing completion and I could not be more excited. The backsplash is installed in both the kitchen and the laundry and will be grouted today. The last of the cabinets were installed last week along with the counters. All that is left is painting, electric and a few odds and ends.

Friday the washer and dryer arrived unexpectedly(with 10 minutes notice) and 6 days early. Both are unaffected by their adventures from Canada, to Nashville, to Raleigh and then here. By the end of the week the dishwasher and cooktop will be here too.

The rest of the weekend was spent on long walks, dinner with friends, reading and doing a few chores inside and out. All and all a quiet but productive weekend.

I have a busy week ahead, what about you? How was your weekend? What fun things did you get up to?

Now, onto 5 things!
