Red, White, and Blue Magic Cookie Bars

An easy cookie bar recipe with an Oreo crust and patriotic M&M’s.

2 cups Oreo cookie crumbs or graham cracker crumbs

1/2 cups butter, melted

1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk

1 cup white chocolate chips

1 cup chocolate chips

1 1/22 cups red, white, blue M&M

1 cup flaked coconut

1/2 cup patriotic sprinkles

Instructions

Start by preheating your oven to 350 degrees. Line a 9×13 baking pan with parchment paper or give it a good coat of cooking spray. You can also use a glass pan.

For the crust, put Oreo cookies into a ziploc bag and crush them with my rolling pin. You could also use a food processor. You want about two cups of crumbs. Combine them with half a cup of melted butter, mix until you have an even butter mixture, and press it firmly into the bottom of the pan.

Now for the layers. Sprinkle one cup of white chocolate chips evenly over the crust, followed by one cup of sweet chocolate chips. Add one cup of sweetened flaked coconut as a top layer. Then scatter red, white, and blue M&M’s generously over everything. I use about a cup and a half to two cups of the red, white and blue M&M’s.

Once they come out of the oven sprinkle with patriotic sprinkles

Pour one can (14 ounces) of Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk slowly and evenly over everything. Do not stir. Bake for 25 to 28 minutes. The cooking time may vary slightly depending on your oven, but you are looking for edges that are golden brown and a center that is just set. Let the bars cool completely at room temperature before cutting.
