Strawberry and Fresh Herb Salad with Blueberries and Feta
It’s strawberry season and what could be better than a strawberry and fresh herb salad? It is the perfect spring and summer salad recipe to make and enjoy with family and friends.
How to Make Strawberry and Fresh Herb Salad
Fresh herbs picked from your garden mixed with salad greens are a delicious base for any salad, and this salad is one of my favorites.
Farm fresh strawberries and blueberries are tossed with herbs and greens. Then topped with feta or blue cheese and a drizzle of vinaigrette dressing. A sprinkle of sweet or salty pecans for crunch and this delicious and easy meal is ready to enjoy.
Serve this salad for a light lunch, or for dinner with added protein, sliced chicken breast or fish.
We love to make this sweet berry salad for barbecues too, it’s a delicious side for hamburgers, steaks and bbq chicken.
Every corner here has a farm stand with fresh strawberries, if you can buy fresh berries in your area I recommend them over the local grocery chain.

Strawberry and Fresh Herb Salad with Blueberries and Feta
Strawberry and Fresh Herb Salad with Blueberries and Feta is the perfect spring and summer salad recipe to make for a weeknight meal or a bbq.
- Total Time: 10 minutes
- Yield: 3-4 servings 1x
Ingredients
Ingredients
6 cups spring greens
1/2 cup fresh herbs, I used a mix of basil, oregano, a little mint and parsley
1 cup of strawberries sliced
1/2 cup of fresh blueberries
1/3 cup crumbled feta cheese
1/3 cup pecans
Instructions
Wash the herbs and greens, spin them dry in the salad spinner. Chop or tear the green and the herbs. Then add to a bowl along with the washed and sliced strawberries and the washed blueberries. Toss and add the salad to a platter or to individual bowls. Sprinkle with the feta cheese and nuts. Drizzle with your favorite vinaigrette and enjoy.
- Prep Time: 10 minutes
- Category: lunch
- Cuisine: american
Tips
This salad is very versatile in that you can use whatever greens you like, don’t have spring greens, use spinach or romaine.
If you are not growing herbs skip them, or purchase some from the store. If you have lots of fresh herbs and you like the flavor add more to the salad.
I used feta cheese for this recipe but I also use blue and gorgonzola
Toasted pecans are good but candied pecans are better(in my opinion)
