Weekend Meanderings

Good Saturday morning friends. It’s time for Weekend Meanderings with Kim. Join us as we share all of the things that piqued our interests and caught our eye this week.

It’s Easter weekend, what are your plans? We are heading to an Easter egg hunt, then drinks with a friend.

Tomorrow, mass, and dinner with family. Aside from that there is not too much on the schedule.

The carpet was installed on Monday and Tuesday. By Wednesday at 10:00 I had everything back into my closet. I did a mini purge and will continue over the next few weeks.

Thursday they measured for window treatments and drapes. We don’t have any fabric picked out we are just trying to get ideas and an estimate because it is such a strange configuration.

On the front side of the house we will have to have drapes that are 120 L and the width will cover 2 windows and a picture window with an arch over the top.Any and all ideas will be considered if you have any.

The back of the house is 2 single windows and a set of French door with an arch over the top. In this area I think we are going with Roman shades.

So far we have not moved a single piece of furniture into the room. Hopefully we will at least get the bed in next week so we can have the painters paint the room, we are currently in which will be an office/study/tv room.

I have lot’s to share this weekend so let’s meander.

The Roses

Disclaimer: Language, Violence

I am looking forward to The Roses. I am a huge fan of Benedict Cumberbatch and Olivia Coleman. Olivia recently stared in the movie Wicked Little Letters(based upon a true story) and Wonka and I enjoyed them both if you are looking for other films to watch.

Francophiles I have a documentary that you will love!

I have been lucky enough to visit Versailles several times and each time I see something new. If you have a trip planned to Paris make sure to take an entire day to visit Versailles and its gardens, I promise that you will be amazed. You could even stay overnight on the grounds of Versailles.

If you do not have a trip planned to Paris, watch Les Trésors du château de Versailles to go behind the scenes to look at all of the amazing treasures and restoration of them.

  1. I love reading your blog especially the links you have included. Lately, when I click on a link to read a story, it wants me to subscribe which I don’t want to do. Are these paying subscriptions? Was really interested in reading the grandparent article and the cruelty animal article.

    1. Marian,

I try to include only free articles. I did go back and check and the grandparents article I was able to read because I had signed up for 30 days free trial. As for the animal article, I am sorry it is a paid article. Sadly more and more sites have paywalls.
I hope that you have a great day! Happy Easter.

  2. Elizabeth I’m on my third try to leave you a comment.
