Welcome to WP–I have a basic, free, page on it and like it. I haven’t posted in a long time.
I loved the envelope image you used to announce your move. Wishing you success as you noodle around to figure stuff out!
sue, thank you so much. It is definitely a learning curve after 10 years plus on Blogger. I hope that you have a wonderful weekend.
BRAVE YOU!!!
I often think about doing the same but never get out of the thinking phase. Lead the way!
It’s beautiful, Elizabeth! Already signed up for it. You might want to make your font for the comments bigger. It’s quite small when someone is writing a comment. You may have to do that in CSS. I will be happy to help you all that I can. Email me and I’ll give you my phone #. To see where what you want to change, Right Click there and at the bottom of that you should see Inspect Tool. There is a way to hone in better, but maybe I should help you with that in a phone call. So, when you see the font you need to make larger, you copy that line of code. Then you go to CSS under Personalize and paste it in there. I can do an Inspect on your blog from here so this looks like the code to change below. See where it shows the font size is 11px.? I’d copy this and go to Personalize and CSS and paste this code, then erase the 11 and put in a higher number. Then Save. Here is the code I think:
input, select, textarea {
border: 1px solid #eee;
-moz-box-shadow: 0 0 0 #fff;
-webkit-box-shadow: 0 0 0 #fff;
-webkit-box-shadow: 0 0 0 #fff;
box-shadow: 0 0 0 #fff;
color: #000;
font-size: 11px;
font-style: normal;
font-family: lato;
font-weight: 300;
letter-spacing: 0.5px;
padding: 10px;
width: 100%;
text-transform: none;
}
I have loved reading your blog and enjoyed reading about your discoveries and thoughts. I did like your old format, but I’m sure will get used to this one. I notice that you no longer list the blogs to which you subscribe, which I will miss.
Best of luck with this new one and I’ll continue to greatly look forward to reading it.
Lori, thank you for your kind comments. I hope that you continue to visit and find all sorts of things to enjoy. Have a wonderful weekend.
Thank you for sharing for all this time. I check in with you almost daily.
I am grateful for you. I look forward to the new format. Take care,
Friend!
Cathy, thank you for comment! I am grateful and tankful that you visit me daily. I hope you have a wonderful day.
I will miss your blog roll. I consistently found new blogs to follow via you! But the new format is sure pretty.
Hello Kelly, I will miss the blog roll on the side as well but I am trying to get a blog roll up and running again, I will keep you posted.
Have fun with it!
Thank you William.
Beautiful new look, Elizabeth! What a great way to kick off the new year! xo
Thank you Juliet! There are still a few things to finish and kinks to iron out but I am very excited about the look. Have a great weekend.
I’m sorry to say this, but I find the font used on your new site very hard to read. All capital letters also hinders the reading. I’ve so enjoyed reading your blog in the past, but I’m afraid that I won’t be able to continue following.
Hello Gail,
As I mentioned in the post, the blog isn’t entirely finished yet and the font and size is something that I am having a problem with at this time and it is being worked on. I hope that you give me a little time to work out the kinks I will be sorry to see you go.
Have a nice weekend
Love it. Looks great and I cannot wait to see all the beauty you share.
xo
Patricia
I’ll be patient whilst you work out the kinks dear friend – and yes this size/light font for writing comments is miniature and hard to correct with old eyes!!!
I was surprised you changed to WP – I always loved your previous layout.
Time and patience will get you over the bumps I’m sure – we’ll look forward to the changes.
Meanwhile stay well and safe.
Hugs – Mary
Enjoy your blog !
I like the font size you are using now plus the darker print makes it
easy to read. Happy!
NOW I CAN COMMENT!
NO MORE HEAD TO CHROME AND COPY AND PASTE LIKE BEFORE!
THANK YOU!

I also would like to keep up with your blog friends, it is a unique way to get a broad view of different types of bloggers! Enjoy the new look
