My grandmother and my mother always made pumpkin and pecan pie for Thanksgiving. Pumpkin is my favorite with a little or a lot of whipped cream depending upon how many potatoes and yeast rolls I eat at dinner. I know that many people don’t like pie so I made a list of 10 Thanksgiving desserts that aren’t pumpkin pie that you might like instead.

This recipe is delicious, it is a cross between cake and bread. The end result is moist, dense, and spicy. The frosting adds a little tartness to the sweetness and spice of the bar and of course a sprinkle pecans adds a bit of nuttiness.
