Friday Favorites from The Iron You, Country Cleaver, Culinary Clever, and More

February 10, 2018 By Elizabeth@ Pine Cones and Acorns 3 Comments

Good morning! I hope that you had a great week, mine was uneventful but busy. I am ready for the weekend because I have a new pile of books and magazines that I cannot wait to read. I also want to try a few new recipes which is reflected in a few of my favorite finds this week.

Food

Image The Iron You

I love Indian food and have been know to go to an Indian restaurant and order two or three entrees just so that I can try as many things as possible. One of my all time favorite dishes is Indian Butter Chicken, recently I came across this scrumptious looking recipe for Easy Indian Butter Chickpeas from the Iron You and thought it would be an excellent alternative to the meat version.

Image Country Cleaver

Over the last year I have noticed a lot of pins for Korean bbq, specifically tacos but I have never seen a Korean BBQ Burger with Candied Bacon. I cannot wait to try this!

Image from Culinary Cool

I love potatoes, they are my favorite vegetable. I like them baked, boiled, and I love them as a salad. I think this Warm Potato Salad with Blue Cheese and Bacon from Culinary Cool looks like a great side dish.

Image Modern Honey

Are you a Nutella fan? Did you hear about the riot at a grocery store in Paris when they had a mega sale on Nutella? If you are a fan than you might enjoy these Chocolate Nutella Cookies from Modern Honey.

I know Valentine’s day is a big deal for some people and for those who are not in a relationship it can sometimes be a let down. This Galentine’s Party might be something of interest of you want to plan a get together with the friends you love.

Books and Wellness

If you are looking for something new to read you might like 10Books to Live Well.

I like this article 10 Of The Most Important Things My Loved Ones Have Told Me During My Low Times.

And this one too, 5 Ways You Will Benefit Going Out of Your Comfort Zone.

Art

Muralist Mona Caron paint weeds on buildings around the world.

Isn’t this a beautiful photo by Alexandra Lee? The story is even more beautiful.

Did you read, watch, listen to any interesting pod-casts or make anything interesting? If so please share.

I hope that you have a wonderful weekend.

I'm like you with Indian food, but we have only one Indian restaurant in town. That means I'm always looking for new recipes, to DIY. Will be making these!
The Nutella riots weren't limited to Paris–the promo was in a national chain, and the insanity was everywhere. As a publicity stunt, it failed.
Can't wait to dig into those other links. A fresh cup of coffee, and my Friday morning enjoyment.
