WEEKEND MEANDERINGS
Good Saturday morning to you friends. It’s time for Weekend Meanderings with Kim and Juliet! This is our weekly series where we share all of the things that piqued our interests and caught our eye.
It’s a rainy, chilly morning and I have no plans today except to make bread, and try a few recipes from my new cookbook. What about you? What are your weekend plans?
Did you see the news yesterday that Princess Kate has cancer? It’s very sad. Since January people have been speculating about her diagnosis, trying to steal her medical records and coming up with ridiculous conspiracy theories. Let’s hope that she can have her treatment in peace and that she can navigate this scary time in her life in peace.
I have lots to share today so let’s meander.
One to Follow~Lynn Morgan Design
Lynn Morgan Design recently came up in my Pinterest feed, her light and bright, designs are perfect for summer.
Lynn Morgan Design is an award-winning interior designer based in Rowayton, Connecticut. Lynn’s philosophy for decorating is a clean, crisp, fresh look with an infusion of color. Formerly a decorating editor at House & Garden for many years, Lynn established LMD over 25 years ago.
Over the years LMD has been featured in some of our favorite shelter magazines including House Beautiful, Traditional Home, CT Cottages & Gardens, Elle Decor, Coastal Living, New England Home, & Renovation Style.
Lynn designs not only homes but restaurants as well. Aren’t these bright, cheery rooms fabulous?

Patthana Garden
TJ Maher is an artist, author and gardener. His garden, Patthana garden, located in County Wicklow will take your breath away. The one acre garden is laid out different garden spaces, it is part cottage garden, part wildlife garden and part prairie garden. This colorful garden was created over 25 years by TJ and his partner Simon Kirby with an artists eye and as a place for butterflies, bees and animals.
Patthana is my ideal English garden. Can you image waking to this gorgeous garden each day and watching the bees and butterflies flit from bloom to bloom, the hummingbirds zipping in and around and the occasional bunny munching under a bush? It looks like a dream.
More about TJ Maher

For those of us that have no plans to go to Ireland this year, TJ has written a book, so that we can create our own little slice of paradise at home.
An artist’s guide to using colour in the garden.
An unconventional, informal Irish garden full of wildlife.

WILLIAMSBURG Mural Collection X Paul Montgomery
Have you seen the Paul Montgomery collaboration with Colonial Williamsburg? Last week I shared the Heather Chadduck Hillegas designer in residence at Colonial Williamsburg, this week stunning wallpaper murals based on items in the Williamsburg collection. Deflt tiles, 17th and 18th century British Delft ware, and 17th-century garden designs from rare books in the Colonial Williamsburg library are just a few of the inspirations for this collection.
The inaugural WILLIAMSBURG Mural Collection X Paul Montgomery re-envisions the rich design archive of Colonial Williamsburg, the world’s largest living history museum, within a modern sensibility. Sales of WILLIAMSBURG products support Colonial Williamsburg’s missions of education, preservation, and engaged citizenship.
I have never been a wallpaper person but this year I am looking for wallpaper for 2 bathrooms. While I was perusing a few collections I came across these stunning murals by Paul Montgomery. Now I am trying to find a place for a mural too.
You can see the entire collection at Paul Montgomery.

I could not agree more Brenda. Your containers and garden have always been an inspiration to me as I do not have a “green” thumb.

Hi Elizabeth! You shared so much spring beauty today! Those LMD rooms are so fresh and clean! And yes, that garden is dreamy — especially when I am looking out at a snowy gray and brown landscape. Love all those pretty floral dresses too. Have a lovely week!

Elizabeth, I really love the wall murals too, especially the dining room one. I can totally see them in your pretty home. The garden video is SO gorgeous. I just love that mix of flowers. I keep adding more each year to our yard.
Dying over the outfit with the blue dress from Boden! I love all the greens always too. Easter and spring fashions are so fun. I am thinking about attempting those peanut butter eggs!
I hope you are enjoying the weekend.

First things first … those peanut butter eggs! Is there anything better than chocolate and peanut butter?! No! Except maybe an English garden. And room murals. Lynn’s design aesthetic is right up my alley and I’ve been Pinning away. Wishing you the best weekend, Elizabeth! xo
Elizabeth says
Juliet, I could not agree more! Peanut butter and chocolate are one of my favorite flavor combinations. As for an English garden, they are perfection in my eyes.
I hope that you have a wonderful weekend Juliet, enjoy all of the beautiful spring like weather.
