Sydni Gause, Rhode x West Elm Collection, Must Love Herbs and More on Weekend Meanderings.

MEANDERINGS~Sydni Gause, Rhode x West Elm, Must Love Herbs.
Good morning friends. It’s time for weekend meanings with Kim and Juliet. Our weekly series where we share all of the things that piqued our interest and caught our eye this week.
Can you believe it is already June? Seriously, where is the time going?
We’ve been busy with outdoor projects. With all the rain this past weekend we were not able to do very much until the last two days. I’ve been digging up grasses and replanting them in areas where the deer will not eat them.
There is still 2-3 tons of stone left to haul to the back of the house. We are taking an existing deck down and making a gravel patio, hopefully it will be finished by the 4th of July. Bill keeps reminding me that Rome wasn’t built in a day and I should try to have a little patience.
I would if I didn’t have a bunch of foxglove, cosmos and other flowers to go inside this little patio that I want to see in bloom and attracting hummingbirds and bees.
We are heading to the village for coffee and flowers, eggs, and veggies from the farmers market. Hopefully they will not have too many good things because it will be a long walk home.
I have lots to share this morning so grab a coffee, tea or chocolate(my favorite) and let’s get to it. When you are done reading the post pour yourself another cup and go visit Kim and Juliet!
Rhode x West Elm Collaboration

Rhode colorful dresses and tableware have been on my radar for some time. Created by Phoebe Vickers and Purna Khatau, Rhode is known for its beautiful prints and style. This year they collaborated with Target and West Elm to offer their stylish pieces to a wider audience. You are going to love the limited edition pieces for your tabletop and bedroom.

Discover treasures for every room, from intricate linens to place settings that pop. Each piece feels bespoke as a stand alone or pairs vibrantly as a collection.

Rhode also collaborated with Target this year and there are still some pieces of the collection available.
Don’t forget to visit Rhode to see more of their beautiful collections.

Sydni Gause

I recently discovered Sydni Gause while paging through a magazine and I was in awe of her naturally dyed silks. Sydni is an artist, sculptor, professor and owner of Sydni Gause Silks. After much trial and error Sydni is a self taught natural dyer and she creates the dye using plants and flowers from her own dye garden.

Her beautiful creations are available online. And if learning about natural dying is something that interests you Sydni hosts remote consultations and private dye workshops where you can host and make your own scarf. I think this would be an amazing and fun class to do with 5 or 6 friends. You can find all of the information on Sydnis’ website.
Shop for silks here and here. Don’t forget to follow Sydni on Instagram for inventory updates and news.
Hosting a Couples Baby Shower

Juliet throws the most amazing parties. If you need ideas for wedding showers, ladies lunches or baby showers she is the expert. Two weeks ago she co-hosted a couples shower for her future great-grandchild. Every detail from the cookies, to the food, to the balloon arch and photos was planned perfectly and you can see it all in the post.

One to Follow ~ Must Love Herbs

Must Love Herbs is one of my all time favorite blogs and Instagram accounts. I have shared Laurens’ beautiful cakes many times on the blog. This week after seeing this lemon curd and lavender tart I thought I would post a reminder that Lauren from Must Love Herbs is definitely “one to follow. ”
Lauren grows all of her own flowers in a tea/herbal garden, as well as, tending to a huge vegetable garden on her family’s 150 year old land with her grandfather and husband.

Summer Finds & Sales

Elizabeth, This is a fun post! I love this brand Rhode. I am not familiar with them, and they have such pretty feminine things. Lauren from Must Love Herbs is so talented and creates gorgeous food.
I agree Juliet is super at hosting. This shower was darling and I saved all her ideas.
Good luck with your yard. Great idea of a gravel patio and your pretty plants. I just love the crunch of it under your feet.. We had one in out former house and I miss it.
I have to catch up with your other posts and links later today. I am intrigued about the French. I know they have a real fat phobia problem and interesting about the dupes. Seem to be everywhere.
You and Bill did a great job on the gift guide! I love that you can walk to your Farmer’s Market too. How far is it for you? That is why I sometimes drive to our Sunday market, in case I buy a plant or two!
Have a beautiful weekend !
xo
Enjoy your weekend!
Have a wonderful week William.
Elizabeth- I love collaborations and how it brings otherwise less known designers or high priced designers into the world where they are at affordable prices! I’ll make a point of stopping by my local west elm!
Love those father’s day picks! We have a few of those items!
xx
Annie, I do as well. Rhode has beautiful fabrics and goods and it is nice to see affordable alternatives at West Elm. They always have fun things.
If you don’t have the pizza oven it is great. I know that you have the solo stove and love it as much as we do.
Have a wonderful week.
I would love to have more gravel in our back yard but the landscape designer said that with the slope and all the rain here, it wouldn’t stay put :/
Very pretty outfit. I have the J. Crew Raffia slides in the group at the end and I love them!
That is a bummer Mary Ann. Our drive has a big slope for drainage and a lot of it ends up at the bottom of the drive by the house, we had to rake the gravel from there to even it all out Heavy rains cause a lot of havoc on landscaping.
I love the J Crew slides, thanks for the review!
Good morning, Elizabeth! So sorry to be late getting here … it was a busy busy weekend and it’s a Monday morning catch up session. Thank you so much for mentioned our baby shower … it was so much fun. I got distracted and did a deep dive into Must Love Herbs. Oh my goodness … I’ve never seen anything so amazing. It’s hard to believe we’re nearly halfway through June and Father’s Day I around the corner … great gift suggestions. I need to get busy on that! Hope you had a great weekend … and the best week ahead! xo
