WEEKEND MEANDERINGS
Good Saturday morning to you friends. It’s time for Weekend Meanderings with Kim and Juliet! This is our weekly series where we share all of the things that piqued our interests and caught our eye. If you missed the last weekend meanderings you can find it here.
We have a busy weekend ahead. On Thursday, my mom and niece flew into town to surprise my sister and my other niece who are celebrating their birthdays this weekend. Yesterday we spent the day at the beach club, then had celebrated one birthday dinner.
This morning we are meeting for brunch, a walk around the village and a stop at the farmers market. Then we are headed to the pool, and another birthday celebration this evening.
And last but not least, Sunday we are having a family dinner and game night. Lots of fun, food and laughs ahead.
What about you? What are your plans for the weekend?
Ok, on to Weekend Meanderings
ONE TO FOLLOW~Vanessa Cooper

They say that you should buy art that “speaks to you” and that you love. A piece that evokes emotion be it joy, sorrow, or wonder. Artist Vanessa Cooper may do all of that and more. Her colorful and whimsical pieces will make you smile, laugh out loud, and pause to take in each detail.
Vanessa lives in Hampshire, in the UK and has been painting since her early ‘teens. She takes her inspiration from nature, family life, gardens, pets, and children.

Her work has featured in national publications and has been selected for the Royal West of England Academy annual exhibition. Vanessa’s work may feel familiar to you it is on greeting cards available around the world.

You can see more of Vanessa’s art on Instagram, Whitespace Art, and Eastwood Fine Art. Original oils as well as limited edition prints of 45 pieces are available.
Wanderlust~American Viscountess
Over the last year I have been sucked down the Youtube rabbit hole. My latest find is American Viscountess.
The American Viscountess is hosted by Julie Montagu, an American from a small town in Illinois, who married Luke Montagu, the heir to the Earl of Sandwich.
Julie is also an author, a yoga instructor and a television personality. In addition to her Youtube channels she has a show on the Smithsonian Chanel, An American Aristocrat’s Guide to Great Estates.
Julie, Luke and their 4 children live at Mapperton House in the Dorset countryside.
The American Viscountess is Julie’s Youtube channel where she interviews friends and owners of stately houses, manors and castles across the UK. Not only do we get to see the incredible gardens, grounds and interiors but learn the history as well.
If you are a bibliophile you are going to love Julie and Luke.

On My Radar

Hi Elizabeth,
Thank you for a lovely summertime post. I bought cherries and peaches yesterday for salads so we are in synch! I am going yo look at the shows you mentioned how fun is that! Summer living at last ! Happy weekend!
Francesca, I love cherries! I could eat them by the pound.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Hi Elizabeth, I left a comment but it looks like it went away halfway through. I just wanted to say I love that artist Vanessa also super appreciate all the cherry recipes as my husband needs to eat cherries a lot. He gets hereditary form of gout and we have cherries all year long sometimes in the tart gummy version during the winter. That dress you picked is super cute. I hope you had a wonderful weekend with the family. Sounds like a lot of fun.
Kim,
Vanessa is amazing! I am searching for one of her pieces to add to my collection. She is quite popular so I am not having much luck.
Cherries are my favorite fruit! I am happy to hear that they help MAx.
Have a wonderful week! See you on Saturday!
Looks like I need to make another pot of cocoa and settle in to spend the rest of the morning with the American Countess! Whatever was on my schedule can be done another day. xo
Juliet you will love American Countess. My favorite episodes are when Julies’ in laws the current Earl of Sandwich and his wife(who is fascinating) give interviews and tours around different rooms of the house. The history of each piece and their storytelling is delightful and informative.
Enjoy! xo
