Monday Musings No. 116
Good morning friends, happy Monday. It’s April and it is April fools Day!
How was your weekend and your Easter? I hope that you had a wonderful celebration with family and friends.
For Easter, we hosted my sister and her husband, and my brother, sister-in-law and my niece and nephew and had a wonderful time. The weather was beautiful, it was sunny, not too hot and perfect for sitting outside laughing, talking and enjoying appetizers and drinks while dinner was finishing in the oven.
Did you host Easter, what did you make?
The rest of the weekend we worked in the yard, cleaned the outdoor furniture and did a preliminary cleaning of the front porch. The pollen is still bad so we will have to do it again before summer but we wanted to make a head start. I dug up 8 coral bell plants that the deer keep eating and am going to put them into containers and see if I have better luck.
I am waiting to do any more transplanting or planting because this week it is going to be in the 30s overnight and I do not want anything damaged. Maybe I am being overly cautions but I do not have the best luck with plants when I put them out too early.
Have you been out in the garden planting? What is your favorite perennial? I planted bee balm for the first time last year and loved it, we had bees and hummingbirds all the time.
Next up +5 things.
1. Read~

Every bouquet tells a story. And every story begins at Blossom & Grow, a tiny flower shop in the heart of Dublin…
Among the buckets of fragrant blooms, beneath the flickering candles and lanterns, Lara works her magic, translating feelings into flower arrangements that change hearts and lives.
She is no stranger to the power of flowers herself. They gave her hope when she was a child who lost a mother, and, again when she was a mother who lost a child.
But old wounds take time to heal, and life has more heartbreak in store. What will it take for the woman who can unlock everybody else’s emotions to open up her own heart?
