A Feast for the Eyes: Pinterest Favorites For the Week and a Few Fall Finds

Good morning friends! How are you and how is your week going so far? Mine has been busy with work and life. Yesterday I spent the day ferrying my niece and nephew to and from school(s) and frankly I felts as if I spent the entire day in the car. For those of you that are new here, I do not have any children of my own, I have two step children and two grandchildren, so the school run and all of the after school activities are a completely new things to me at the age of (almost) 55.

I am looking forward to the weekend, I have a few projects that I want to work on, and it is a 3 day weekend so that even makes it better! Today I thought I would share a few of my latest Pinterest favorites as well as a 5 fall finds that you might like.

I love cookies and bars and these peanut butter swirl brownies from The Hungry Kitchen Blog caught my eye. You might want to make them this weekend for your last summer hurrah.

Adrianna from A Cozy Kitchen is one of my all time favorite bloggers, and cookbook authors . I found this pin for these adorable mini pound cakes  and think they would be perfect with macerated berries or even frosted, and you could book mark the recipe for your Christmas baking.

As you know we are in the process of renovating our new house and flooring is one of the things that we are exploring. Our last house had hardwood throughout and we are contemplating that here in the new house as well but we are also exploring alternatives, like mortar washed brick floors for the kitchen, laundry room  and Carolina room. If you have any experience with brick floor please let me know.

I have been perusing the shops for Fall clothes and I keep coming across these Frye booties? Do you think that means that I need them?

You know that I am “mad for plaid” and this coat is calling my name. Apparently this coat is sold out but this one and this one and this one and this one are available.

This plaid scarf is pretty cute as is this alpaca one although it is considerably more expensive.

I have never been a fan of wallpaper but this has me rethinking that.

This cute  is a great gift for the book and tea lover in your life.

Love these acones.

What can I say, my mind has already wandered to cozy days at home baking and all things pumpkin spice.

5 Fall Finds

I like this sweater from J.Crew  or this sweater from H&M  and this

If you or you kids love to decorate for Halloween, you will want to get these LED Witches. I don’t even like halloween and I find these decorations to be pretty cute.

I love this pumpkin spice colored sweat shirt and think it is perfect for Fall.

This Farm Rio dress is perfect for Fall! I ordered this a few days ago, I will let you know how it looks once I receive it. It is a little more expensive than I would normally pay for a seasonal dress but I loved this, that I purchased this summer, so much that I thought I would get a Fall one as well.

What are you pinning on Pinterest lately? Recipes? Fall Fashion? Decorating ideas or are you already pinning Christmas ideas( I am). Share your favorite pins with us as well as your Pinterest account  so that I can follow you.

Have a wonderful day!

  1. Great post Elizabeth – know you are so busy with the house so thanks for taking time to show us so many lovely things! I’m not even thinking Christmas but, now it’s September, autumn and winter clothes and decor are catching my eye! I’m not planning to buy a lot as I’m trying to downsize – yes I know I keep saying that and it doesn’t seem to be happening, I must try harder! I did find a gorgeous oversized grey cashmere turtleneck at Saks Off 5th last week – can’t wait for cold weather to wear it!
Hope you don’t get bad weather later today as the storms pass through.
    Enjoy the upcoming holiday weekend.
    Hugs – Mary
