Good Friday morning to you friends, I hope that you had a wonderful week. Did any of you wake up to snow this week? I heard from a few friends in NH that there was the possibility of snow. I am sure they are not happy but I have to be honest, I would have loved a little snow, I feel as if I blinked and missed winter. In any case Spring will be back to its regular schedule all over the country in just a few days.

Grab your cup if coffee, chocolate or wine and get ready to settle in and enjoy all of my favorites from the week.

Food

Always start with dessert first, I think that is a rule somewhere, or at least it short be. If you like to bake or make sweet treats on the weekend you might want to try these No-Bake Raspberry Margarita Tarts.

This recipe for Carmelized  Onion Dip, looks delicious and perfect for summer gatherings.

Flaky Buttermilk Biscuits, would be perfect to serve for Mother’s Day brunch.

I am currently reading Say Yes To Life by Victor Frankl, he is also the author of one of the best books I have ever read Man’s Search for Meaning. I read Man’s Search for Meaning over 30 years ago and I reread it at least once every 2 years. Have you read it?

Finds

Blue and white chinoiserie dress

I shared  a couple of weeks ago and it finally arrived, it is beautiful! I ordered a small and it it fits perfect on the top, it is very roomy from the top down and very comfortable and it has pockets!  My only concern is that it is 100% cotton and I wonder how it will wash. I ordinarily would not have spent this much on a summer dress but I fell in love with the pattern and I did receive $50.00 off during the sale. This  is another one by Farm Rio that I really like.

  1. My husband and I went to a 5 star spa/hotel for his birthday and the hotel room had a Nespresso machine – I couldn’t believe I’ve lived this long without one, so I promptly ordered one and am enjoying an espresso with your Friday favorites along with an almond croissant from Williams-Sonoma – I limit myself to one every week but they are terrific to keep in the freezer.

I’m reading “Hidden Valley Road” which is a terrific memoir, and planting some hardy pansies in pots for our front porch – we got another inch of snow overnight (Upper Peninsula of Michigan).

Thanks for all of the book recommendations!

  2. Great post! Thanks for all the book recommendations. I am needing some new titles for my book list. Maybe I will read while I eat one of the delicious looking raspberry margherita tarts! Thank you!
