Friday Favorites from Boulder Locavore, Honestly Yum, Jillian Harris and More

Good morning. I cannot believe that this is the last week of October that means we have 60 days left until Christmas. On the one hand it is a little scary and on the other hand, “it is the most wonderful time of the year” so let the fun begin!

I found some great things this week, I hope that you enjoy the links.

Interesting Food

Doesn’t this Pumpkin Spice Steamer from Jillian Harris looks delicious? It is made with almond milk and coconut cream. I cannot wait to try it.

Next to pizza, anything meal that includes cheese is my favorite meal. The Ultimate Fondue Party fro Sugar and Charm is my kind of party.

I love butternut squash but what a pain in the butt it is to peel, cut and roast. I try to buy it already cut at the store to save time but this past week they were out so I was forced to get zoodles. I have never had them before and they were perfect with browned butter and sage, we served them with pumpkin sausage which made them even better. I used this recipe from Boulder Locavore.

Oh my goodness this Halloween Candy Charcuterie Board from Honestly Yum is fabulous! I would love one of these at a party.

Isn’t this ghost cake from Kanela and Lemon cute? This chocolate cake and four others are featured on my other blog Once Upon A Chocolate Life today.

Here are some more Great Halloween Baked Treats if you need more ideas.

And 20 Halloween Cocktails.

Halloween Lolipops

If you like caramel apples and do not feel like making your own you could order a few. I personally like to make my I always make too many and then eat them all. Never good if you are watching your caloric intake.

Easy costume idea, a Frequent Flyer.

Or my favorite,

French Toast!

I hope that you have a wonderful week and as always please share your finds, recipes and more.

  1. It just amazes me how creative these food bloggers are with the food they create and how pretty it is. My creativity does not reach into those areas, but I admire seeing what all they come up with. Happy weekend!

  2. You are right, it is a little scary that it's only two months until Christmas but this is the most wonderful time of the year! I've even begun listening to Christmas music already. You've given so many great ideas here for the days of entertaining ahead. I've already made a note of recipes and The Provence Cure…and now must go see more of that cute chocolate cake!
