The Red Scarf
Davinsky Labor Camp, Siberia, 1933: Only two things in this wretched place keep Sofia from giving up hope: the prospect of freedom, and the stories told by her friend and fellow prisoner Anna, of a charmed childhood in Petrograd, and her fervent girlhood love for a passionate revolutionary named Vasily.
After a perilous escape, Sofia endures months of desolation and hardship. But, clinging to a promise she made to Anna, she subsists on the belief that someday she will track down Vasily. In a remote village, she’s nursed back to health by a Gypsy family, and there she finds more than refuge–she also finds Mikhail Pashin, who, her heart tells her, is Vasily in disguise. He’s everything she has ever wanted–but he belongs to Anna.
After coming this far, Sofia is tantalizingly close to freedom, family–even a future. All that stands in her way is the secret past that could endanger everything she has come to hold dear!

The Magic All Around
The Russell women have always lived in a house that is as special as they are—a century-old Victorian with a radio that tunes itself to the listener’s mood and a pantry that rearranges to provide just the right ingredients for any baking need. Lilith Russell was the exception. She left the family home in Ivy Ridge, Georgia, and has been flitting like a hummingbird from place to place with her daughter, Mattie, in the decades since, only returning each summer to drop Mattie off with Lilith’s sister, Penelope.
When Lilith dies suddenly, Mattie is left without her sole companion and the captain who steered her ship. That is, until she visits Ivy Ridge and learns Lilith charted one last course for Mattie: a series of tasks that she must complete to earn her inheritance, with Penelope overseeing the process.
Both Mattie and Penelope are outraged by Lilith’s seemingly random stipulations: throw a Halloween party, take a local pizza cooking class, share secrets with someone . . . But Mattie soon realizes that if she completes the tasks, she may unearth her mother’s secrets, including the identity of Mattie’s father. She may also discover more about the Russell family “gifts” and why Lilith chose Penelope’s former love to be the executor of the will. She may even learn how and why Jonathan Carlisle, the boy who stole her heart ten summers ago, also happens to be back in town.

The Girl Who Fell Through Time
Selene Duskbriar is like any other young noblewoman—elegant, pampered, and wholly unprepared for betrayal. But when her ambitious husband steals her birthright, sparks a war, and ultimately causes her death, Selene’s life takes an unexpected turn. Sent back in time to the day of her engagement, she seizes her second chance to rewrite her fate.
In a desperate move, Selene marries Lord Dorian Nightbloom, a kind but unassuming lord, and flees to his quiet country estate, determined to hide from the schemes of her former husband, Duke Drakefell. Surrounded by Dorian’s gentle nature and the loyal warmth of his household, Selene’s heart begins to open in ways she never expected, drawing her toward a new life—and love—that she never knew she could want.
However, Duke Drakefell hasn’t forgotten his plans, and with her unique knowledge of the future, Selene may be the only one who can thwart his deadly ambitions. But will love and courage be enough to stop a war—and can she finally become the heroine of her own story?

SHOPPING~OUTFIT OF THE DAY

The rich jewel tones of Fall are some of my favorite colors, especially navy. Tone on tone outfits are beautiful and easy to put together, this week I paired a navy pleated skirt with navy suede books, a faux snakeskin bag and then added a white sweater embroidered with flowers. The blue and white pearl earrings tie it all together!

Each piece is a classic and can be worn again and again this winter and for years to come.
