Just as nature rests, this season invites us to slow down, tend to our homes, and return to life’s simple comforts. Winter is a time for quiet mornings, warm kitchens scented with cozy meals, early evenings reading or playing games, and the kind of rest we push to the side but that is much needed.

This list of 100 ways to have a restful, cozy winter reset isn’t something to complete. It’s something to read, ponder and to choose what feels nourishing to you. Leave the rest. Let these ideas remind you that slowing down is not only needed but it’s living in rhythm with the season.

  1. Hi Elizabeth,
Slowing down is such a good thing to do, if we would just allow ourselves to do that.
I was having lunch with a gal pal last week and I was telling her I often feel the “time thief” breathing down my throat. She shared that a friend said maybe you should do less. I thought that was a good idea.
Did you share the book company to contact if you can’t find a book and want to contact them so you can give the business to your local independent book store. It’s a FREE service that they provide.

  2. Reading these tips are quite lovely and nurturing but why relegate them only to the Winter. These should be practiced all year. We don’t take enough time for rituals and self care
