Rosemary and Tarragon Spicy Mixed nuts are the perfect snack, accompaniment to a charcuterie board to serve with cocktails and to give as gifts.
Good morning friends, how are you? Just a few more days until Christmas are you excited? I am looking forward to “seeing” my family on Zoom and watching my niece and nephew open their gifts. Did you see the “Christmas Star” last night, sadly it was too cloudy here to see it but I did see photos of it.
Today I have a super easy nut mix to share with you today they are perfect for gifting or to serve with nuts, cheese, charcuterie trays and drinks.
Rosemary and Tarragon Spicy Mixed Nuts
Ingredients
3 Tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1 Tablespoon dark brown sugar
1 Tablespoon dried, crumbled rosemary
1/2 Tablespoon dried, crumbled tarragon
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
11/2 teaspoon salt, plus more for sprinkling
3 cups of unsalted mixed nuts, pistachios, pecans, cashews, almonds walnuts(or nuts of your choice)
Directions
Preheat oven to 350. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
Pour the nuts in a large bowl. In a small bowl melt butter( in the microwave or on the stove) then stir in the brown sugar and the spices, mix well. Pour the butter mixture over the nuts, mix well so that all of the nuts are well coated.
Spread the nuts out on a baking sheet and bake until they become glazed, about 18-20 minutes. Stir one during the baking process. Remove from oven and let cool.
They are delicious warm served with drinks but make sure to cool the nuts completely if you are going to package them up for gifts.
Have a wonderful day my friends. Enjoy the last few days before Christmas, don’t get stressed if you don’t have all of the cookies baked that you wanted or all of you packages wrapped, your family doesn’t cake about that stuff, they just care about you so enjoy them.
