Monday Musings No. 60, a weekend update + 5 Things: what I read, watched, and discovered this weekend and more.
MUSINGS
Good morning friends, how was your weekend? Happy President’s day, are you enjoying the day off?
We had a great weekend. Friday we stayed in, I made charro beans, yellow rice and tacos. I read a book and Bill watched a movie. A relaxing start to the weekend.
Saturday I baked chocolate loaf cakes. It’s Ina’s recipe and it is so good, the best part is that it makes 2 loaves. Then we went to our neighbors for a dinner party, ribs, salads, desserts and lots of laughs and fun.
Sunday I was under the weather, not sick, just feeling off. I was so tired I could not keep my eyes open and yet I couldn’t fall asleep so I spent most of the day resting and reading. It was just what I needed because this morning I am bright eyed and busy tailed and ready for a great day and a busy week.
Ok, grab your coffee, tea or chocolate and on to 5 Things.
+5 THINGS

In present-day Australia, Anna finds a mysterious metal box containing a sketchbook of dazzling watercolours, a photograph inscribed ‘Spring 1886’ and a small bag of seeds. It sets her on a path far from her safe, carefully ordered life and on a journey that will force her to face her own demons.
In this spellbinding botanical odyssey of discovery, desire and deception, Kayte Nunn has so exquisitely researched 19th-century Cornwall and Chile you can almost smell the fragrance of the flowers, the touch of the flora on your fingertips….

That movie looks right up my alley, Elizabeth. Have a great week!
I loved the article on Negativity! Thanks.
I probably won’t be buying anything due to how high my tax bill was. But I’ll probably look at things anyway.
