Keep cozy this fall and winter with a comfy throw, you can add them to a basket, to the back of a chair or just folded on the couch so they are ready when the chill sets in.

Cozy Blankets and Throws
Fall has arrived and it is time to bring on the cozy! Cozy blankets and throws, copious amounts of hot chocolate, warm bowls of soup, comfort food and lazy days by the fire reading books.
More often than not, I am the first to wake up in the morning. Instead of laying in bed reading I sneak out and head to the living room. I make a cup of tea, light the fire and settle on the couch with a warm throw, my journal and my latest book. For 20 minutes to an hour I have the place to myself and I can relax, read and watch the world wake outside my windows.

Why Add Cozy Throws to Your Fall & Winter Decor?
Throws and blankets are essential at my house in the fall and winter for several reason. Adding a cozy throw to any living space adds warmth and texture. They add a pop of pattern or plaid to the decor. And they keep dogs fur off the furniture. Not to mention they keep me warm while sitting on the porch and my sister warm when she visits.

My sister claims that we keep the temperature low. Admittedly, I don’t like to turn the heat on too high because…hot flashes. One minute I’m hot and the next I’m not. Anyone else?
Ok, back to cozy throws, what sort do you prefer?
Are you a fan of a tartan wool throw? A soft comfy cashmere throw? A down blanket? A quilt? I will admit that I am a fan of them all.

I love my cashmere throw for travel, or sitting in bed reading. They are pricy but worth it because you will have them for ever.
My down throw is for watching movies on the couch, and it also happens to be the favorite of my pups too. It’s more a blanket than a throw so it is perfect for an afternoon nap on the couch.
And the vintage tartan is rugged and great for picnics, game day or while sitting around the fire pit on cool nights or when watching the leaves fall.
Favorite Throws This Year
Here are a few of my favorite throws this season, this colorful and whimsical mushroom throw, this elegant, neutral floral throw, this cosy cable knit throw, a faux fur throw, and these beautiful plaid heating blankets!

Herring bone throws West Elm
Whatever your preference for cosy throws, there is something for everyone, including heated throws which my pups love on a cold morning. I am sure that any of these beautiful throws and blankets will keep you comfy and cozy as the chill of Fall sets in and the cold of winter slowly approaches.
Is there anything better on a cool Fall day than getting wrapped in our favorite blanket snuggled by the fire? Or with your kids, husband and pups watching movies, reading books or just hanging out?
THAT’S ALL FOR NOW
I hope that you enjoyed cozy fall throws and blankets and maybe found one to add to your house this Fall.
Have a great day friends.

We’ve rounded up a beautiful selection of fall throws to make your homes feel cozy and inviting this season.

Fur all the way for me, I have several fur throws scattered all over the boat. Fake of course, so warm and soft 🙂

Oooooo…..it looks like your pup is ready for the season! We are not, however. More hot temps today. I don't even know what to wear these days!
It's a bit chilly here this morning. First day I had to turn the heat on in the morning to take the chill out. Lovely choices for throws. Is that your dog? Is he a Dachshund? xo
Love this!! Today is a great day for a blanket and something toasty. In a perfect world I would stay home in flannel pjs, whip up something yummy and snuggly under a cozy blanket…but reality awaits and a chock full day of errands to be done in the cold rain!
I love these blankets Elizabeth but my favorite photo is your pup. He looks so comfy!
It's been pouring in DC!!! And quite chilly! I turned the heat on last night, and brought out all the snugly throws. Looks like we'll need it this weekend.
Stay warm and cozy 🙂

What beautiful blankets, they are all so full of lovely colors. The dog is just to priceless!! Our two doxies love being under blankets all the time. No matter what season.

A lot of different choices!
Here the fall colours are slow this year, but the temps are dropping by the day.
Gorgeous blankets!! Love all the colors!
Our throws tend to be old quilts from my childhood and throws that I've crocheted. We love them. I wore my flannel pajamas for the first time this season last night! I'm in heaven.

As I'm a quilter I have to say all my quilts come out over the winter months, but I do have a crocheted rug made by my mother that I use on those days when it is not so cold, helps me to remember her.
Hello Elizabeth
You have a rich collection of throws. I love your tartans and I have never met a cashmere I did not like, they are the utmost in luxury. Have a glorious Autumnal weekend

Love all of these especially the cashmere ones…perfect for curling up with a good book!!
I’m a chunky throw lover. However I have to share with my pups.
Seeing those cute faces made my morning. Nothing like Dachshunds
Chunky throws are so comfy! And sharing with our pups is even better.
Such a beautiful collection of throws, Elizabeth! Love all of the cozy colors and variety of textures! Happy Fall, my friend!
Lynne, thank you. A cozy throw and a good book make gray days better.
Give me all the throws … I’m a fan of them all. And my dogs are too. Lot’s of great options here … I’m so ready to curl up under a cozy blanket, but I hear we have hot weather on the horizon. xo
Elizabeth, this is a great post. One can never have too many blankets or pillows in my book.
Thank you for sharing such a wonderful assortment of blankets.
Wendy, thank you! I love a throw! Happy Weekend.
