WEEKEND UPDATE
Good morning friends, how was your weekend?
We had a great weekend, a little of work and a lot of fun. Friday we went the the village to check on the US Open preparations, then headed to the merchandise tent. I have never seen so much golf stuff in my life or volunteers helping you buy it. Supposedly this is the largest merchandise tent the USGA has ever had. As golf is not my all time favorite sport I only bought a hat to commemorate the event but it was fun to watch all of the excited fans, especially the kids, trying on gear and posing for photos.
Saturday we had friends for dinner. The weather was beautiful and we sipped cocktails, and munched on a charcuterie board and mango salsa and chips before the main course of marinated and grilled tri-tip, baked potatoes and salad. Followed by dessert, homemade condensed milk brownies and homemade vanilla ice cream for dessert.
Sunday we worked around the house on a few projects. I sanded the outdoor furniture, it is a vintage set and it has at least 5 coats of paint on it and it is starting to flake. It has been on my to do list since March and I am just getting around to it. I have to paint it this week but I am trying to decide what color, classic black or French green.
This morning we are off to the US Open to watch the practice rounds which start at 6:30. An early morning and lots of fun ahead.
What about you? What did you do this weekend?

OUTFIT OF THE DAY
Blue and white is one of my favorite color combinations, it looks beautiful in every season, especially summer. Crisp linen skirts paired with a t-shirt or blouse is both dressy and casual. You can wear them your favorite sandals, ballet flats or tennis shoes. I love to add a pop of color to a blue and white outfit, yellow, green(my favorite), fuchsia or red all look beautiful.
