Weekend Meanderings
Good Saturday morning friends. It’s time for Weekend Meanderings with Kim and Juliet. Join us as we share all of the things that piqued our interests and caught our eye this week.
Have you seen the coverage of the Bezos/Sanchez wedding in Venice? I do not typically read celebrity gossip unless I am in the supermarket line but somehow the algorithm keeps sending me the stories. I will say that the embroidered corset dress that Lauren wore the first evening was spectacular. Aside from that I don’t know them so I am not too interested.
What about you? Do you think it is the “wedding of the century?”
This wedding reminded me of a quote I recently read:
“We live in a world where the funeral matters more than the dead, the wedding more than love and the physical rather than the intellect. We live in the container culture, which despises the content.” ~
On another note, Kim, Juliet and I will be taking the month of July off from Weekend Meanderings, a summer holiday so to speak to rest, relax and rejuvenate. I will still be posting my regular content on the blog, and who knows if I find something really interesting I may pop up in a Saturday morning. If not all three of us will be back in August!
Ok, I have lots of fun stuff to share so let’s get to it.
Camellas Llore~ French Guest House Tour
I have a little wanderlust this week so I thought I would share some beautiful houses to visit or maybe even purchase in France and the UK.
This guest house tour is filled with charm, and available for rent.
Visit Camellas Lloret to book a stay or follow along on Instagram.
Les Oliviers du Taulisson
Les Oliviers du Taulisson is a beautiful bed and breakfast in Provence. It’s available if you have a trip planned to Provence in the future.

Country House Tour~For Sale
Do you love a house tour? Me too, and this one happens to be for sale just in case you are in the market for a second home.
Grains of Sand
Lately I have been thinking about growing old, my husband will be 70 this year, my mother 80 and my dad 87, I will be 59. We are all going older and moving into different seasons of our lives. Each of these three films “spoke to me” in a different way and I hope that you enjoy them.
The Unwinding
“The Unwinding” explores the story of David, a grieving widower who finds solace in an unexpected friendship with Lily, a food delivery girl. As David navigates his profound loss, his friend Chris regularly checks in, worried about David’s well-being. The film delves into themes of grief, hope, and the complexities of aging.
Model Strangers
Model strangers is one of my favorite Instagram and Youtube channel’s, and this particular story tugged at my heart strings. It is so true what they say, you never know what a person is going through.

Patriotic Outfits for the 4th of July

Yes, I know a few of the outfits say Memorial Day but the red, white and blue patriotic colors still work for the 4th of July. I personally will be wearing an outfit very similar to the one on the lower left, shorts, a t-shirt and sneakers for the local parade, a bbq and the fireworks. What are your plans for the 4th of July? What will you be wearing?
See the outfit detail in this post, as well as in the collage at the bottom of the post. Simply click the photos to see the product.

Monday I shared this fun Anthropologie skirt, apparently fruits, veggies, fish and more are the pattern of summer. You can get all the outfit details plus the book I shared, the video and more. By the way, Anthro is having a sale so be sure to check it out, it’s a great time to think about Christmas gifts!

On My Radar~4th of July Outfits

Hi Elizabeth,
Yes, I have received lots of Bezos/Sanchez wedding. The embroidery dress is pretty, her wedding gown is gorgeous. I find the whole thing is a bit over-the-top. I so relate to the quote you shared by Eduardo Galeano.
The journey of aging is a gift, however it’s not easy. As we advance in age we start looking at life differently. Your father amazes me how active he is. He knows how to look after himself, plus he must come from good genes. Your mom sounds like she is doing well too. Your health is wealth.
Wishing you a peaceful day.
A dear friend once said about a touching ceremony he had attended that it was “more about the marriage than about the wedding.” I thought that was high praise, indeed.
We just attended, with our daughter and granddaughter, our community theater’s young artist production of The Wizard of Oz. The highlight of our weekend and so cute!
Lovely post thank you Elizabeth.Have a wonderful summer take care.
Hi Elizabeth … I love all your house tour content and yes, it would be wonderful to visit – or purchase! – beautiful homes in the U.K. and France! Oh my goodness, that wedding. The rehearsal dress was beautiful but looked terribly uncomfortable and like she’d have to hold her arms in an awkward position all evening. I have to say, I thought the entire thing was a spectacle in poor taste. A Kardashian side show. As for aging, it’s been on my mind a lot lately too … although when I read the ages of your parents I thought to myself, ‘so young’! At our age it feels like everything is going by so fast, and yet I remember the days, weeks and years dragging on when I was younger. I guess that’s why it’s said that youth is wasted on the young. Thanks for the viewing suggestions, I’m interested in every one. Wishing you a lovely July! xo
