MONDAY MUSINGS NO. 113

Good Monday morning friends! How are you feeling with the time change? I am a little discombobulated and tired. All day yesterday I was confused by the time because I forgot to switch the clock on the stove and in the car. Early for somethings and late to others.

Even though the time changed and it felt spring-like on Sunday, looks can be deceiving. There are still cold, rainy months ahead. All day Saturday it rained and this morning it is 36! It’s a good thing I haven’t planted my containers yet. How is your weather?

Have you seen the movie A Star is Born with Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga? I am late to the party and finally watched it last night…wow! What a great movie, the end threw me though.

Speaking of movies, did you watch the Oscars? I did not but I did read about it this morning, the reviews were not that good. What did you think? Some of the outfits were beautiful and some not so much. Did you have a favorite?

What about you? What did you do? Did you have a nice weekend?

Next up +5 things.

1.READ~The Star-Crossed Sisters of Tuscany

The Star Crossed Sisters of Tuscany book cover with a view of the Tuscan hills.

The Star-Crosses Sisters of Tuscany

Since the day Filomena Fontana cast a curse upon her sister more than two hundred years ago, not one second-born Fontana daughter has found lasting love. Some, like second-born Emilia, the happily-single baker at her grandfather’s Brooklyn deli, claim it’s an odd coincidence. Others, like her sexy, desperate-for-love cousin Lucy, insist it’s a true hex. But both are bewildered when their great-aunt calls with an astounding proposition: If they accompany her to her homeland of Italy, Aunt Poppy vows she’ll meet the love of her life on the steps of the Ravello Cathedral on her eightieth birthday, and break the Fontana Second-Daughter Curse once and for all.

Against the backdrop of wandering Venetian canals, rolling Tuscan fields, and enchanting Amalfi Coast villages, romance blooms, destinies are found, and family secrets are unearthed—secrets that could threaten the family far more than a centuries-old curse.

Watched~Made in Italy

Made in Italy

Made in Italy is a heart-warming father son story set in glorious Tuscany about bohemian London artist Robert, who returns to Italy with his estranged son Jack to make a quick sale of the house they inherited from his late wife. Neither expects to find the once beautiful villa in such a state of disrepair. Renovations go badly, with father and son soon finding themselves at odds. Robert’s comical lack of DIY experience leads him to seek help from some colorful locals including the no nonsense Kate, an ex-pat making her living selling villas who quickly captures his attention.
