Friday Favorites from Pinch of Yum, This Savory Vegan, The Recipe Critic and More

Good Friday morning friends. It seems a little frivolous to be writing about food, books and finds while we all watch what is happening in Ukraine. The death and suffering of so many is heartbreaking. I hope that a diplomatic solution can be found soon. My thoughts and prayers are with all of the people of Ukraine.

Friday Favorites

Food

Chinese take-out is a favorite for many and now you can make it at home, Cashew Chicken from Pinch of Yum. Or you could try this Harissa Popcorn Chicken from Bon Appetit.

If you feel like a little Mexican this weekend you could try:

Air Fryer Chicken Taquitos or Crispy Poblano & Potato Tacos or Vegan Burritos.

If Italian is calling your name you might enjoy Baked Chicken Alfredo pasta.

For something a little healthier, Greek Cobb Salad.

As for something sweet, you know I would never skip dessert. In case you missed it, I shared and easy and delicious chocolate chip cookie recipe this week.

You could also make a pan of Chocolate Chunk Shortbread bars. Everything that Sue makes is AMAZING!

Les Grottes de Lascaux: To the Caves! If you will be in France this year in the Dordogne Valley you will definitely want to visit the Lascaux cave, it is really cool to see the prehistoric drawings. While you are in the area go visit the town of Sarlat, it is a beautiful medieval town that is largely preserved. I have visited Bothe the town of Sarlat and the cave and enjoyed them both. I have been a fan of Jamie Beck and Ann Street Studio for years, when she and her husband, Kevin Berg lived in NY and perfected  cinemagraphs.  You can see more of their cintmagraphs here. About 5 years ago Jamie and Kevin moved to Provence and since then have been living, creating and writing in France. I just preordered Jamies’ upcoming book An American in Provence: Art, Life and Photography.
