Good morning! A very happy Friday to you. I hope that you had a great week, are you ready for the weekend? I am ready to do some baking, and to watch a few Christmas movies. Tonight I am headed to the botanical gardens to see a display of over 1 million lights!
Here are a few of my favorite things from this week.

I love party food, especially appetizers and dips. This French Onion Dip from Foodie Crush is at the top of my list of things to make for my holiday party.

Casa de Crew made these delicious Proscuitto Wrapped Apples with Brie and Balsamic Vinegar.

Homemade Spiced Apple Cider sounds like the perfect winter beverage. I cannot wait to make this crockpot recipe from Peaceful Dimpling.
If you would like something a little more potent you might like this Swedish mulled wine.

This is the cutest Christmas Pudding Cake! I have to figure out how to make this using the pans I have.

I thought I would share a few of my favorite baking books, including Zingerman’s Bakehouse, which I wrote about here.

Tasting Paris from Clotilde Dusoulier of the blog Zucchini & Chocolate.

Red Truck Bakery, this cookbook is one of my all time favorites. This weekend I will be making the Stollen recipe and I have already made some muffins, a cake and a pie.

Cook’s Atelier another favorite. I loved reading how they ended up in Beaune, France creating their cooking school and learning about all of the people they source their food, wine, cheese, etc from.
Movies/TV
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 2 started on December 5th! You can watch it on Amazon Prime.
An Inspector Calls, have you seen this movie? It came highly recommended to me and I will be watching it this weekend.
Finds

I like this vintage looking skirt and think it would be great with a cashmere sweater!

Great calendar for the world traveler in your life!

One of my new favorite perfumes‘.

Because I have not featured enough tartan, said with tongue in cheek, what do you think of this blazer?

I love this coat but I don’t like the price.
I hope that you share all of your fun finds this week including recipes, books, podcasts, movies and whatever else you found interesting.
Have a great weekend!

The blazer AND the coat…ooh lala! I love Tocca Cleopatra and use the handsoap, shower gel and perfume. It was the signature scent at one of my favorite hotels. Happy weekend!
I made a pinata cake for my kid years ago using two Pyrex bowls. Not perfectly round, but a serrated knife (and icing) takes care of that. To hollow out the pinata, I just scooped out the center. And I use the two bowls all the time since.
I read someone say that instead of a traditional holiday dinner, they were just going to fix the appetizer and dessert. I liked that idea and may do that for Christmas.
Brenda
I do like that wreath.
I am head-over-heels in love with that blazer, Elizabeth! Have a great weekend!!
