Today I am sharing an easy and D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S, homemade hot fudge sauce that I discovered years ago in the NY Times. This easy hot fudge recipe is made using simple ingredients that you probably already have in your pantry and refrigerator and does not contain corn syrup. Yes, you could probably buy a decent chocolate sauce at the grocery store but making your own hot fudge sauce is so much better.

Homemade Hot Fudge Sauce

I love hot fudge sauce. I don’t even need the ice cream, just give me a whole jar of hot fudge and a spoon and I’ll call it dessert. Truth be told I rarely, if ever, eat ice cream. Weird I know but it’s just not my thing. That said if you are serving ice cream sundaes and you offer me a pitcher full of hot fudge sauce to accompany my scoop of ice cream I will eat it and enjoy it immensely.

When I was little and visiting my grandparents one of my favorite outings was to the Pig & Whistle. My grandfather would take us there on Friday evenings for hamburgers, and ice cream. I always got the brownie sundae with a pitcher of extra hot fudge. This homemade hot fudge sauce recipe reminds me of those happy days days.

As of yesterday I was doing the food poisoning BRAT diet as I still wasn’t feeling good, after 8 hrs. of uninterrupted sleep last night I’m hoping I’m better! Today I will try eating real food!!!!

  2. Looks absolutely amazing! I think people don’t realize what a difference it makes when you make these kinds of things from ‘scratch’! I wish I had been born with the ‘skinny gene’ so consequently I save these things for special ‘indulgence days’ haha!
