Monday Musings…A weekend wrap-up and 5 things I am loving this week for Mother’s Day.
Good Monday Morning friends, happy May. It is going to be a busy week, Thursday is Cinco de Mayo, Saturday is the Derby and Sunday is Mother’s Day!

Monday Musings
We had a great weekend. After being gone for all of last week, we had plans to catch up on things around the house. But instead we decided to have a little fun. Saturday we met up with my sister-in-law and niece for lunch and then perused the local art fair and farmers market.
Sunday morning I sat on the front porch with the pups and a cup of hot chocolate and read a book. The cool air was abuzz with sounds of the birds calling one another and the hum of the busy bees. Then I wrapped Mother’s Day gifts and wrote cards. Finally I finished the day in the kitchen baking some treats to send along with my gifts.
Today I am refreshed and ready for a great week. I am taking Holly Becker’s new blog class and am excited for the first live chat after a weeks delay.
Let’s get to my five things.

5 Things for You or for Mothers Day Gifts

Beautiful Dress
1.Isn’t this vibrant from Banana Republic beautiful? I love everything about it, the color, length and the fabric. I think it would make a wonderful gift for Mother’s Day. If a caftan is more your mom’s style t Sail to Sable is pretty.

Homemade Gifts
2. Here are 5 Homemade Mother Day Gift Ideas you might want to make for the mom’s in your life.

A Book to Add to Your List
3. Jean Stoffer is an amazing designer and her instagram account is one of my all time favorites. Her new book Establishing Home is available to pre-order for yourself or for mom.

Napkins and Tabletop
4.These beautiful napkins and place mats remind me of Provence and the linens there.

Whimsical Watering Can and Mister
5. For the mom who loves to garden, a brass mister and a green waterings can.

We don’t watch the Kentucky Derby. Probably because we watch baseball every day.

I’ve been eyeing that dress for a while! I think that shade of blue is so beautiful (alas I don’t think it’s my color), but so pretty!
You always find so many beautiful things – they feel like they were picked just for me.
Rosemary, that is such a kind compliment. I really appreciate it.
